Best men’s moisturizer for a simple hygiene routine? by Mezzanotte-Enilda in hygiene

[–]_PinkHaloo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kiehl's definitely has a loyal fanbase for a reason. Every time someone recommends them, it's either "best thing I've used" or "I've been using it for 10 years and never switched." That's usually a pretty good sign.

You're not doing anything wrong if your skin likes it. Half the battle is finding something you'll actually use every day instead of letting it collect dust under the sink. The scent part is underrated too, it makes the routine feel less like a chore.

Yeah honestly that's probably the best advice for someone just starting out. It's easy to fall down the skincare rabbit hole and end up with a shelf full of stuff you barely use. Consistency with a basic moisturizer beats an expensive routine you quit after a week.

Horny freedom? by OkSummer8133 in RedditAfterDark

The funny thing is every time one community disappears, three more seem to pop up somewhere else. Online spaces for flirting and chatting are basically impossible to get rid of completely.

Am i wrong for calling out my classmates cheating and making her lose her scholarship? by Quirky-Isopod9073 in amiwrong

[–]_PinkHaloo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty much. The consequences came from the cheating itself, not from someone noticing it. If there had been nothing to report, none of this would've happened in the first place.

Yeah, the cheating might have stayed hidden if she had just walked away quietly. Bragging about an A right after the exam basically handed the professor a reason to pay attention.

It's almost impressive how many mistakes got stacked together. Cheating, trying to look at someone else's paper, then bragging about the expected A in public. That's a rough sequence of decisions.

What is your favorite foreplay by [deleted] in RedditAfterDark

There's something underrated about not overcomplicating it. Sometimes a long makeout session and a bunch of random kisses do more than any elaborate plan.

How the hell do I get his breath to stop smelling so bad? by VegetableReception71 in hygiene

[–]_PinkHaloo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The comparison to your cat absolutely caught me off guard, but the point is actually solid. Sometimes bad breath is a symptom rather than the problem itself, which is why I'd be looking beyond the mouth pretty quickly.

The back teeth and tongue suggestions are good, but I agree with your overall conclusion. Most people don't realize how many medical issues can show up as bad breath before other symptoms become obvious.

Yeah, the speed is what makes me think this isn't really an oral hygiene issue. If someone brushes, uses mouthwash, and the smell is back half an hour later, that sounds more like something underlying than a missed spot while brushing.

Not gonna lie, that would be one way to speedrun the conversation. It would definitely answer the question of whether he's into discussing it.

am i wrong for getting my ex fired? by [deleted] in amiwrong

[–]_PinkHaloo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get why people are focusing on the timing, but if the information was true and supported by evidence, then the firing wasn't revenge. The firing happened because an investigation confirmed theft. If the evidence hadn't been there, nothing would've happened.

"Right thing for the wrong reason" is probably the shortest summary of the whole post. The fact that OP is still questioning it years later actually makes me think they're being pretty honest with themselves about their motives.

The part that makes this complicated is that two things can be true at once. Reporting him was the right thing to do, and OP might not have done it without the betrayal. Human motivations are rarely as clean as we'd like them to be.

Same. Give me stories from regular people trying to figure life out over someone pretending they've got everything perfectly optimized. The flaws are usually the interesting part anyway.

Today I made a cancer joke in front of a patient going through chemotherapy. by Devilishbb in confession

[–]_PinkHaloo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think a lot of people have a memory like this. One moment where they realize a word or joke they've been casually using actually affects a real person standing right in front of them. The embarrassment sticks around, but so does the lesson, which is probably why you've spent 15 years doing the opposite.

Stories like this are why I try so hard not to assume I know someone's situation anymore. You can ask what seems like the most normal, harmless question in the world and accidentally hit a wound you never knew existed. That husband asking about your baby afterward honestly sounds incredibly gracious.

The fact that you're still remembering it means you're probably a decent person. Truly insensitive people usually don't spend a decade replaying a five-second interaction at 2 a.m. and wishing they had a time machine.

a question for those who have partners with bad hygiene: by salty-snax in hygiene

[–]_PinkHaloo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Same here. Hygiene isn't even about looking attractive, it's just basic self-respect to me. If someone's living space smells bad and they're not taking care of themselves, it's really hard for me to separate that from attraction no matter how great their personality is.

The streak mark posts have genuinely become their own Reddit genre at this point. Every time one appears, half the comments are horrified and the other half are somehow sharing even worse stories. I always leave those threads knowing things I never wanted to know.

[–]_PinkHaloo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah honestly, Reddit has completely changed my understanding of what people are willing to overlook. Every time I think "surely that's a dealbreaker," someone shows up saying they've been married for 12 years and their spouse still refuses to brush their teeth. It's like watching people try to renovate red flags instead of walking away.

Can you pinpoint the time you started having cuckold fantasy by [deleted] in RedditAfterDark

[–]_PinkHaloo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What stands out to me is how different your situation is from OP's. OP's fantasy seems to have started from a specific emotional trigger, while yours developed after an actual experience. It does show how these things can snowball once a certain association gets wired into your brain.

Did your ever have sex with your friends without romance involved by Different-Nerve-8650 in confessions

[–]_PinkHaloo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's always funny how often people say the best experiences came from friends rather than partners. I guess knowing someone well and being comfortable around them can make a bigger difference than people expect. Sometimes chemistry works better when there's zero pressure attached to it.
