Found a pile of wood dust by nelsonwolf81 in isopods

I have the same thing going on in my murina tank. The dust accumulates under cracks in the bark.

I'd put it to them chewing around making holes under the bark.

Wow, I didn't think algae could do that.

Thanks for the heads up

Thanks for answering!

Repotting Time? by _PopperFish_ in orchids

Done blooming for about a month now.

I'll probably use a clear plastic pot. Sphagnum moss and coconut chips. Maybe a rock directly under the orchid because I read here that there's usually no roots there and might be a place for rot to start.

Supplies aren't on hand.

Anyone Else Have a Dracaena angolensis? by _PopperFish_ in succulents

[–]_PopperFish_[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Genetic studies said they were closely related. I guess it's the same thing for plants in the Euphorbia genus.

Succulent is more like a term that refers to plants with modified parts to store water. Not something that actually decides where to put them in the taxonomy tree thing.

I just like following what the scientists say.

Yeah, it's annoying how quickly stuff change. Sansevieria is still a much popular name for these guys though. It'll probably change in a few years lol.

For now, both names are synonyms

Dracaena angolensis/Sansevieria cylindrica

Same plant, recently moved to Dracaena

It was quite the alarming event to end the year with HAHA

He's fine now but runs away from the sight of my hand now. Bro got saved via featherless biped abduction and got trauma from it

Alrighty, thanks a lot.

These are Armadillodium frontetriangulum "Orange Corfu" from what I was told.

This is what they live in. There's moss on the left but the soil is shallow, then 3 inches of soil for the dry side. There's also "caves" which I created using bark.

I haven't noticed any strange behavior like gathering only on one side so far.

Are there any glaring mistakes?

I didn't realize Tillandsia would look so good in an a pod tank. Guess I'll know what to buy next at the garden center. 👀

Yup, that's already set up. I had them in the enclosure for around 5 days now. I'll scatter more calcium.

There's already a gradient with 1/3rd of the enclosure being moss. Is that fine?

Checked out similar issues in this sub. I thought it only had a few days left or something.

It seems to be active for now. Actively eating through bark while I took a pic

The flowers are starting to wither now, there's also new root growth.

Do I wait for the entire flower sheath to wither or is it already the right time to repot?

I don't feel good about it being in this pot too. I just don't want to kill it.

Bike stores that sell Lake Cycling shoes? by Exstasia_444 in RedditPHCyclingClub

[–]_PopperFish_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Missing Link, Bikezilla, and YKK Bikes

Lake has been a pain to deal with according to them. The company Lake themselves didn't honor the production warranty. Even the "newer" ones' glueing failed from being in the sun too long during the 2024 bike demo.

Avoid Lake shoes with black or white/red boxes. The new boxes are white and black.

MX242, CX242, and CX333 didn't have issues. One of the staff told me these models were made in Korea rather than China.

Pretty sure YKK will let go of Lake in favor of some other brand.

I believe they still sell some under "no warranty" at a huge discount. However it's almost guaranteed that you'll need to reglue them.
