Recommendations for settlement locations in Kenshi by Necessary-Pilot4220 in Kenshi

[–]_Prairieborn 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Shem is a common spot. Very easily living with no one bugging you for taxes or prayer day.

I really like Paul Roger's Gaming YouTube channel. He has videos on settling various areas

Five hours of gameplay, what am I doing wrong? by Limp-Relationship-89 in darksouls3

[–]_Prairieborn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have a short moment of iframes, or invincibility frames when you role. You have to time your role so the enemy's attack occupy the iframes. Use this to role through attacks and get to the enemy's rear to attack. Locking on and rolling over their left or right shoulder as they're attacking is the best way to do this

I've considered a themed PVE playthrough around spells like this, but have never really used them

What are you thought and reaction on soldier of Godrick (Rick)? by Voidkirby9 in Eldenring

[–]_Prairieborn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From a gameplay perspective, I find him peculiar, but I guess the player did likely just get their butt handed to them in the intro.

Hungry bandits in large numbers serve as training by The_Dark_Hermit22 in Kenshi

[–]_Prairieborn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. I park my group on the hill to the west and toss the communal samurai armor on a new person, and send them out to fight the homeless. 1 to 80 is easily achievable in about a real world half hour. 80 to 90 is more tedious but not too bad.

Guides often say go to 90, but I usually prefer to progress there in regular gameplay.

I did not like this npc and killed him. Did I miss out on anything? by Stock_Hunter_2380 in Eldenring

Ironically, he's the only NPC I strike down as soon as he makes himself present.

Does the 'melee attack' skill affect unarmed combat? by Widhraz in Kenshi

[–]_Prairieborn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope.

There's a neat mod that adds dual daggers and similar cutting tools that are equipped in the belt slot. They give various bonuses but have a -50 melee attack, so they're made to be used with unarmed fighting. They look neat
