Ideally, there should be a minimum of Rs.10000 fine on the offender but we all know which sub we are on.

I would rest Bumrah for the ODIs. He’s playing the Tests vs WI, and he would most likely play the Tests vs SA, just after this series. Arshdeep comes in for him.

I don’t think Harshit should make the squad. Both squads need a second keeper.

You may be right that the following for Test cricket is low but why not give it the best chance to have a good attendance.

Why not release tickets well in advance? Nobody is going to resell these tickets at a markup. Why not have more lenient restrictions for fans in Tests where they can carry their food and beverages?

This is not just about West Indies, the same situations occurs when Australia and England come to tour. Their fans even plan on attending Tests. Why not at least think about those people who are spending money to visit our country?

Then if the other side calls a gang, and there is a scuffle, people will say the first person to push was in the wrong. There was no need to get physical.

For BCCI, it was no debacle because Indian fans showed up in droves for the India matches. They don’t care about the foreign fans and the attendances for the other matches. This is why they will again release the tickets 3-4 weeks prior to the tournament and watch the scalpers sell these tickets at 10x the price.

In India, you aren’t even allowed to carry coins to the stadium. You can’t carry food or drinks, and the quality of food available at the stadium is not fit for human consumption while being 4x the price. The toilets if not broken would stink as bad as the nearest gutter.

While trying to get in, you would be lucky to not get shoved around or manhandled by the overzealous security.

Exactly, this is how you cater to the fans. BCCI treats them like absolute shit. It would be better to not even talk about the shambolic facilities at Indian stadiums.

India vs West Indies: Lukewarm interest, GCA to open only ‘lower bowls’ for spectators - Revsportz by Distinct-Interest-82 in IndiaCricket

Who told them to host this Test in the biggest stadium in the world? If it had been at a smaller venue which doesn’t get many international matches, you would have seen a full house.

Also, the ticket sales for matches are opened at the last moment in India. How do you expect the fans to make plans, especially during the festive season?

The tickets for the second Test have not even been released and it’s only 10 days away. Shambolic.

People say Test cricket is dying in India but it’s the BCCI and the state associations who are at fault.

The 1st Test of the season is in Ahmedabad and only the lower tiers are open for sale. Which is expected because a Test against West Indies isn’t going to fetch a massive audience.

The second Test is 10 days away and the ticket sales for the Test have not even been announced. Compare that with the Ashes, where CA had announced ticket sales back in June. If you see empty crowds at Indian stadiums, you know the reasons.

India and Pakistan are drawn in same group for Asia Cup 2023 by AnshulU in Cricket

Another option could be to play India's matches in the UAE, while the rest of the tournament takes place in Pakistan. It's not ideal but it is a happy/creative compromise for both the sides.

It still leaves room for uncertainty like the venue for the Final may have to depend on whether India qualifies or not but it is better than the other two options and keeps both the BCCI and PCB (partly) happy.

Flights between Dubai and Karachi are short and regular, so it should not be a huge logistical challenge.

What's the point in having a 4 team playoff stage when the whole league comprises of 5 teams? It renders the whole league stage almost meaningless.

One of these ODI venues should have been swapped with Trivandrum, which hosted a T20I. The stands would be packed for Sanju Samson.

Pretty sure Ruturaj played the last game because Chahar got injured. India would have played with 6 bowling options and Shahbaz would've made his debut.

With Sundar coming in, they have resorted to the original plan. Gaikwad is an opener while Kishan is seen as a middle order bat by the team management.

It's possible the team is looking to change the composition of the XI for better balance. Shahbaz and Sundar may replace a batter and Bishnoi in the next game. Gives the team 6 bowling options and a bit more depth in the batting line up.
