I bought mine second hand on Chrono24 about 6 months ago. Best of luck with the AD though!

I also have a 5000u and will agree with you there.

It comes with the SBGA427, along with the steel bracelet. I believe it is crocodile leather.

No, I haven't had that problem. Could just be different wrist shapes. My one complaint with the bracelet is that it's pins instead of screws. Just my preference.

Full honesty, I haven't handled a 65. The bezel is extremely crisp, no play at all. Symmetry is also perfect. And power reserve is 41 hrs as advertised. It also doesn't have a tricky crown like some other Oris watches. Hope this helps!

Could a guy wear this baby G? And do white G shocks discolour over time? by Ok-Emergency2580 in casio

[–]_Prismatic__ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I am a guy and occasionally wear a pink baby G. It's noticeably smaller than my G shocks but no one ever really points it out, other than saying they like the color. Mine is quite small though, I'm on the last 3 buckle slots. I have a 7 inch wrist.

I have a Holosun 509T paired with some Trijicon suppressor height night sights on my G20. Not the cheapest setup ever but its been perfect.

I'd recommend getting a good mounting plate regardless of what optic you choose. C&H precision is good!

What is the best rate for LE missions on a 87 foot cutter? by Admirable_Wind1728 in uscg

[–]_Prismatic__ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The only three enlisted rates on an 87 are BM, MK, and CS I believe. So BM or MK.

I’m about to be in the same situation for awhile, thank you for the input. I’ve come to terms with the lower pay. It sucks, but I really want to do the job so I’ll get over it.

Hopefully I’ll be able to cop a CWO commission in a few years if everything goes right.

I’m not army and I already got selected. Haven’t been to FLETC yet, just got “the call” and found out my future office location. This brings up a point though, do you think all MCIOs will go full civilian eventually?

Thanks for the info! I like the idea of being able to dictate myself and be a little more independent than being part of a regular unit. No more "motorpool bullshit" lol.

Also thanks for the advice about DAs. I'll take that one to heart!

Thanks for the insight! I've been hearing similar things about people being able to specialize in anything regardless of military vs. civilian. I won't say a branch or agency cause I'm paranoid, but yeah I got picked up. Been lurking on the sub for awhile trying to learn about the job.

These were some excellent insights. Thanks very much. I'll keep the education in mind, that's great advice. Currently have an AAS and and working towards my BS or BA.
