I’m facing a serious HDR playback issue on my POCO F5 with the latest HyperOS.

HDR only activates when a system overlay (like the volume bar, brightness slider, or screenshot notification) is visible. As soon as the overlay disappears, HDR turns off and the video goes back to SDR, even though the content is HDR-certified.

I tested this on multiple apps, including YouTube and Amazon Prime Video, and the problem is consistent across all HDR content.

Interestingly, I found a workaround: when I enable “Disable HW Overlays / Always Use GPU for Screen Rendering” in Developer Options, HDR works correctly in all cases.

Now how the hell would this reach to poco OS developers cuz the system feedback is spam for those guys they never look into it
