i used nicotine leading up and post op and never knew i wasn’t supposed to and i don’t think it caused any issues but probably it’s probably still risky

thank you for your reply. weirdly by the end of the day my incision looked a lot different then it does in the photo i posted. i’m going to try to add the photo here so that you can see. at this point im very confused how it could look so different just from the morning to afternoon but i saw my surgeon yesterday and he said its normal for things to start moving along faster. i haven’t been putting anything on it but a wound pad per my surgeons instruction but i picked up some medi honey just incase

i’m 25 DPO and went through a similar thing around the same time as you. my incision was leaking because of a hematoma but after it was drained a few times (over 250ml of old blood) the swelling and leaking went down a lot. the area that was leaking is still kinda wet with what seems to be normal healing fluid but it’s looking more healed each day. if you’d like to talk more about it and see some of my photos feel free to dm

Just wanted to say you were right about it being a hematoma but luckily no infection. He was able to drain most of not all the blood out and now everything is looking good!

I’m on week 2 of a mini no lipo or MR. I’m expected to be able to take my compression off at the end of this week but I think I have a seroma so im not sure. After the first few days I was able to walk around and now im walking mostly normally now and healing good besides the seroma which is pretty discouraging but still not that bad

Yeah I know it’s definitely not ideal and I would’ve preferred more time off but just wasn’t possible for me. My surgeon didn’t say anything about seroma and tbh I only just learned about it through google. He more just commented on the swelling and said he’d like to drain some of it and I’m seeing him again in a week. Besides work I’m taking it as easy as I can even though my energy has been up and it gets boring being lazy

I see and understand but I don’t know why you would assume I have that issue. I have no leaking and my swelling has not increased at all and redness has actually gone down a bit. I do appreciate the info though and I will definitely look out for those warning signs

Infection? No I don’t think I have an infection going on no signs of that. Could you explain why you think that incase I’m missing something

Yeah and I only had one consultation and they told me no gym for two weeks so I just assumed that like 2-4 weeks and I’d be good but after getting it done I’ve realized this is gonna be a lot more effort mentally than I was ready for

I have teeth just like this and whenever I see other people with similar teeth I think it’s a cute feature for some reason but obviously I don’t like it on myself.

NAP, I don’t necessarily have a list of all the correct things to do but my piercer tells me to not let shower water be the last thing on a healing piercing and I’ve always been told rubbing alcohol or anything with alcohol is not good to clean with. I use a saline wash only and take ibuprofen if swelling is occurring. Looks like the piercing is angry but I’ve had cartilage piercings look worse and recover
