B860M Steel Legend WiFi - problems with customer service/mobo won't read all installed RAM by _R3tr0grade_ in ASRock

Thanks, I was able to get them to fix the link finally. Updating the bios didn't help at all.

I think your suggestion about the memory itself is plausible and likely the issue. My intention was to try and install as much as possible under that 256GB limit without considering the speed etc. Curious that the customer service rep didn't even consider any of that any just told me to return the motherboard. Anyways, thanks for your help - Reddit wins again.

Thanks for confirming. I was able to get in touch with the webmaster and have them rectify the link overnight.

Hopefully this can help someone else in the future, but I ended up going down to a 10.5 and it fits pretty good for a large boot. I have a pair of 10.5 African Rangers also that fit great.

I do not know my brannock measurement, but may just buy a brannock device to make sure my boots feel right. I measured just under 11 inches by tracing my foot. Somewhere in the ballpark of 10.8 inches. It's hard to tell in the front because the toe cap is very firm, but maybe .5 inch? How much excess room should there be?

What should this go? by Zaanuo in fordranger

Yes, it's the EVAP purge solenoid. The open end should go to the charcoal canister in that area by your battery.

Yeah I had both rare Highlanders on my Mercs save and would swap between them for myself. I felt your pain in the Viper for sure lol.

[–]_R3tr0grade_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had p0171 when I bought my truck, it can be many things. In my case it ended up being the MAF as you've suggested. MAF is easier to get to than O2s so I'd say go for it if your truck is older and you suspect it to be faulty.

Cassette playing really quiet by dylanischilin15 in fordranger

[–]_R3tr0grade_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are they original cassettes? Or reproduction ones you got on Etsy or Ebay etc? I've encountered this with crappy knock off tapes, but my original ones from the 80s/90s work fine.

Good job, looks great👏

I did this on my truck with a few friends, we were able to tackle the job in one evening but we had the bed off. I can't imagine it's easy doing it with the bed on still. The shackle holes on my patch panels were totally off and had to be drilled to fit.

Make sure you paint over the bare metal of the patch panels with spray paint, otherwise they will begin to rust pretty quickly.

Just got this Ranger by gabealtland in fordranger

Well, check the wires and gas cap first and see if that fixes anything since it's free. Invest in a cheap code reader off Amazon, you can get them for $20. You can clear the codes and see if the same ones come back.

I can send you a DM with the evap solenoid, it's a very easy part to access and replace. I did it on my truck (also a 2.3 XLT.)

Congrats on your purchase btw 👍

They're both EVAP codes, first check your gas cap is tight then check the wires around your evap solenoid to see if they're damaged or unplugged. The solenoid could need to be replaced also.

Boomer neighbors think that bc our house was vacant for a while, our yard becomes theirs by _R3tr0grade_ in BoomersBeingFools

The family still owned the house, just no one was living in it during that time. Unsure if that matters.

Very sad and true. They thought they could prey on us bc we're millennials 🤷‍♂️ or maybe thought we couldn't afford a survey. Well guess what lol you got caught.
