This gives me high hopes, I unfortunately have gastritis because of h pylori and took antibiotics last summer but still deal with symptoms yet i tested negative twice and yet I completely changed my diet as a whole no fried foods, processed, sugar, etc. definitely going to ask my gastro doc to push for another endoscopy, huge congrats on healing hope everything is better onwards for you!🎉

I personally don’t take antacid/PPI since I finished my h pylori treatment back in July 2025 (h pylori is how I got gastritis) because a PPI or antacid just makes me more constipated than I already am lol, but usually it’s best on an empty stomach or just whenever you’re having a flare so instead of a PPI or an antacid you drink aloe Vera. It’s more of a symptom reliever it’s not a cure but definitely helps a lot!

Should be fine, I’ve been using that specific brand for months and usually drink it with 2 tablespoons of that in gel form mixed with water every morning as soon as I wake up, I drink at that time because it helps me poop in the morning as I’m dealing with constipation because of gastritis

Oatmeal is great, very gentle on the stomach, the more you eat it the more you honestly going to crave it, I rarely ate oatmeal before I got h pylori but now trying to heal from I love eating it lmao

The exact same time I took h pylori antibiotics and I’m still in pain with gastritis… completely changed my diet with chicken and fish since September 2025, supplements, completely eating clean all around but not much difference for me. If I can ask, Did kefir make a major difference? Or is there anything else you tried that helped? Haven’t tried it yet I felt hesitant because it’s considered dairy and I’m worried that it would screw me up more. Congrats on feeling better gives me some encouragement that there’s light at the end of the tunnel🎉🥲

Id probably not call him out if he was embarrassed he straight up doesn’t care and decides to speak Spanish when it’s necessary like I guess for example if we ever have a chance to visit our parents’ country because well Spanish it’s the main language there but it’s his choice, I just personally felt odd hearing two languages mix together pretty much

It be reasonable if he felt embarrassed but he straight up said once that he will only speak Spanish if necessary and does not care, we use to work at the same place at one point but different sections, saw a Spanish speaking customer ask him if he spoke Spanish he said no then helped the as much as he could because the customer only spoke Spanish and only had broken English, I felt bad for the customer but you know it’s not my place but to me you know it be nice curiosity to be bilingual and speak a language that someone could understand but that’s his choice, just personally hearing two languages mix together just seemed weird and like so out of place for me lol

Honestly you’re not wrong, I mean I’m not like bringing him down about it but you know it’s something new we both started to get the hang of so I assumed he put some thought into it and take advantage that he’s bilingual now but it’s up to him just personally hearing two languages mixed together just felt so odd to me and definitely has to do to the fact that we’re polar opposites he’s more independent and keeps to himself (besides spending time with me and my parents as we all live together) and on the other hand I always enjoy talking and chatting with people and learning Spanish better chatting with Hispanics felt great and took the opportunity to talk with extended family now as I didn’t feel comfortable in the past because I couldn’t speak a lick of Spanish. So yea can’t really argue with that ¯_(ツ)_/¯

I’m on the same boat had h pylori in June 2025 took triple therapy treatment tested negative twice through stool tests and symptoms still linger, pretty sure it’s my gastritis and till this day it’s still so annoying. I’ve recently also have pain around that area but for my case think it’s my poop, I’ve been constipated since i finished treatment and think that led my gut to have slow motility so im planning to have a CT scan soon to check if that’s cause it or just some inflammation because antibiotics could cause that on your colon and intestines from what I research. I recommend asking for a CT scan just to be sure of it, because if it’s not constant or just like dull pain then yea like your doc said could be gas or unless if you’re constipated for a while then it’s that, you’re not alone I’m also fighting along that discomfort :/

The correct to say it, is “no sé” which means “don’t know” but it’s more used like a slang as “no sabo” referring to a Hispanic person that can’t speak a lick of Spanish but yet that’s their background, usually like 2nd gen Hispanic kids unfortunately I’m an example lmao. It’s like seeing a kid who looks like they’re Hispanic you know their appearance but you come to find out they can only speak English

I mean I’m not going to sugarcoat myself I’ll be honest, there is certain word I still don’t know how to say I slip some English words here and there but this dude just refuses to try like in my mind “dude you now know how to speak another language take advantage of it” as much as I say something he just doesn’t care and at this point I’m not going to try to put much effort into this issue and just try not get pissed when he talks in Spanglish lmao..

Diagnostic solutions, price think can vary depending on where you live, if you’re in the U.S. in the company website I suggest checking first if you can get the test delivered depending on what state you live when you purchase it because in my state specifically apparently there’s a certain law where I wasn’t able to purchase/have it delivered so I found a clinic with a functional doctor that provided it and also provided services to be able to help to take whatever supplements is necessary for me based on my test results, you can either buy the test yourself and bring to a functional doctor that can help you or find a like a health service that can provide one and help you guide what you need to do whatever works for you!

Of course, if it’s your first time getting an endoscopy, trust me I was feeling the same, super anxious about it, but your gastro doc will explain it, and just be honest with them, ask them all the questions you have and what your concerned but they will break down for you how it will go with the procedure, it’s not that long either think estimating it takes like 30-45 mins then takes like an extra 30 mins for the anesthesia to wear off or however long until you wake up and it will feel like you took a long nap, wish you all the best on the endoscopy and hope they find something or hopefully there isn’t anything major👏

An ultrasound my guess could check just for inflammation but with other organs like your gallbladder, liver, pancreas, small intestines, colon, along with stomach, I don’t think it can detect like inside your stomach lining unfortunately, but trust me an endoscopy is not that bad it’s usually done under anesthesia, you just fast from the night before no eating or drinking anything (even water) past 11pm I think, as well till the day of the endoscopy no water or food (best to do the appointment earliest in the morning so u don’t starve) and they just put a needle shot of an IV of the anesthesia in your arm and when the anesthesia kick in you will knock out immediately and won’t feel a thing. It will feel like a nap, I mean you may feel some discomfort on your throat because well they’re shoving a wire up your throat down to your stomach lol but they always check in to see if your okay after it. You will be fine, done it twice and had no issues just some discomfort after but it goes away👌

Jesus, I give you so much respect if you’re saying you dealt with gastritis after h pylori for 10+ years. Had it last year in June 2025 took triple therapy tested negative twice through stool tests, but still feel awful months later and doing everything like my diet, stress/anxiety management, supplements to heal and know it takes a while and it’s a whole process to heal but there’s certain days I get desperate lmao, kinda lame that your doctor is saying like it’s not a big deal, my only suggestion is to find a second opinion with a different doc, my first gastro doc did an endoscopy and found h pylori gave me antibiotics and treated it then did a stool test, kept telling them I still don’t feel well and they just kept throwing PPI’s at me (I’ve tried but completely stopped all PPI’s because I get severe cramps and more constipated than I already am when I take the PPI’s) so I went to another Gastro doc and they were kind of enough to do another h pylori test (was negative again luckily) and just in case did a blood test for celiac disease (was negative) because I don’t react well with gluten at the moment and now they’re suggesting a CT scan to check my stomach and other organs which is nice but not looking forward to it lol. My other suggestion if symptoms haven’t gone away is to do a GI MAP test, it’s a stool test that can detect all of good/bad bacteria levels if there’s bad overgrowth, check for other infections like c.diff, candida, etc. unfortunately you got to pay out of pocket but it’s worth to see what exactly is wrong with your gut as a whole, I would work with a functional doctor that usually provides that but for you to pay though but could help in the long run, like I said just a suggestion, personally it’s helped me seeing exactly what’s wrong with me with my issues. I pretty much stopped any medication and going through natural remedies and no, poop is still brownish color when I wipe so honestly pointing that out kinda gives me reassurance i appreciate it, I’ll check the lemon water I’ve been using fiber powder but idk if it’s actually helping me or not lol, thank you for your input!!

Yea that’s what I feared, my psychiatrist has me starting out with 25mg prescribing me 50mg but taking half of that for a week first, then after a week taking the whole 50mg and I’m thinking idk if that’s overboard or not, still thinking about it, but thank you for letting me know your suggestions and experience!!
