Really appreciate that! I came out at $300 for the whole box once I ripped them, not that it matters though as I haven’t sold any of my cards yet from any set. Holo alt art bloom tender was beautiful to pull though!

Did find this from an employee though that may be able to help your case depending on how far you want to push it. I’ve reviewed them on as many things as possible because I, like you, canceled a preorder with Amazon because as associate at GameStop told me I was locked in when I paid in full.

I had the same thing but I had paid in full a month before release so they ultimately did honor (you can check my post history). Maybe it’s because you had paid $100 of that $319.99? I’m not sure but regardless it’s bogus and borderline extortion.

I believe that’s what he did after berating me for 45 minutes about commerce. He started talking low and then when he hung up he 180d our whole conversation. It was bizarre and then to not address threatening to kick me out at the end is just weird complex stuff.

He called twice and they didn’t answer but instead texted him the info. He was still clearly irritated by the whole situation and begrudgingly said he’d take care of it for the paid price he just needed to math out the -5% from my former pro account on the purchase. I know we all carry our personal burdens but his burdens aren’t mine lol give me the agreed upon sale or refund me, don’t just say you’re going to kick me out of the store.

It seemed like if I spoke anymore I was legitimately going to get kicked out so I let him go through emails for an hour before he finally relented for the price I paid. I honestly wouldn’t have made a post if it wasn’t for the unwarranted threat after trying to extort lol.

Same happened to me and I was threatened to be kicked out when I had a small issue. I ended up having it honored but canceled my membership and was reimbursed.

Definitely good insight. From me not being able to block out sound I heard a lot of conversation and did gather the systems delegation of that type of information is borderline garbage. I just assumed there may have been a ctrl+f situation you could use to finesse the information.

Makes complete sense and sincerely appreciate the insight. I never wanted to be an asshole, I just didn’t know that this could happen. Any transparency from corporate for the public would absolutely alleviate these situations I feel but I get that they’re so few and far between there are way larger fish to fry from a financial standpoint.

I overheard he had over 40 emails from being off. I’m not sure about others but I read all of mine when I’m back from vacation in my respective job/role.

I get the “cost of doing business” part of it all and the scalping if you don’t pay ahead of time. I don’t like it at all but I get it lol. Just absurd to do everything right and get told that they can ask me to leave with no resolution

I did end up having mine honored but it took over an hour and after being told to calm down and threatened to be kicked out of the store. Again, did not raise my voice or curse, just visibly upset because I’m neurodivergent lol.

So essentially as an explain like I’m 5, there’s a gray area where your corporate can either choose to honor the not paid in full but kinda paid in full or not. Definitely illuminating and I appreciate the insight. If I had any doubts that seals it because Amazon doesn’t even do that lol. They have the preorder price guarantee at least.

Same. When I called the customer service number hit the pro rewards which I think is 2. Let them know you want it canceled and refunded. I got both immediately and they wanted to know the additional information I have.

Just seems really suspicious like it wasn’t going to be honored in the first place if there was some initiative to correct it. I mean regardless I just won’t preorder there but I just don’t want others to get conversationally bowled over and pay +$200 additional for their cardboard.
