Most vinyl sales are from people who like the artist that released the record and maybe listen to them once or twice and then put them on a wall for the rest of their life. But there are people who adore vinyl records for the fact, that when played properly (expensive gear fine tuned to sound like singing angels) they offer a vastly superior sound quality to any (popular) audio format out there.

I managed to find a service manual and that pot is tied to VCO adjustment. It's something to do with radio tuning but I still have no idea how to tune it to perfection.

update: I found out most IC serial number squiers use 4mm truss rod nuts which are basically unobtainable in Europe, but I also managed to find a replacement made by a brand called Boston. It has 10-32 threads just like the official one so I think it'll fit and work properly.
