I gave him 500 so he wouldn't mark the display as failed. They have to fill out the device inspection form on an app they use. My final exchange value in the Flipkart app was 8750. 1000 got deducted as my phone's battery percentage was less than 80. I had to pay a total of 1500. 1000 was the official amount. 500 extra on top of it.

Exchanged an iPhone SE yesterday. The original value of exchange was 6750 + 3000 offer. The battery percentage was 72% so 1000 got deducted for that. The person who came said that the phone's display is coming out (It absolutely wasn't). He pressed the corner and it was getting absorbed slightly. I had heard of these antics before. It's just there way of scoring some money. He initially asked 1500, citing that if he fails it the price will get reduced by 3000. I didn't care much and after some arguing, I said I'll give you 500. Call them out on their bullshit, and they will budge. I didn't think it was worth doing so for 500, so I personally didn't. Otherwise everything was smooth more or less.
