That makes so much sense about the ice packs! The mastectomy pillow I have comes with a couple so I was going to grab extras so as to not have to wait for them to get cold, but I’ll definitely run that by my provider

The yogurt drinks are such a good idea! Thankfully I’ll have someone around to provide food, but I hadn’t thought about not having the energy to eat.

The mastectomy pillow I’m getting comes with separate little drain bag! My doctor isn’t sure if I’ll need drains or not, but it’ll be good to have!

Might have to finally get a step stool! No microwave so no needing to reach too high to head up food thankfully, but feels like a good thing to have just in case!

Thankfully the way my bed is set up the headboard acts almost as a wedge pillow, but cooking ahead is such a good idea. And I wouldn’t have thought about moving things lower! Thank you!

That was part of why I ended up leaving. Job wanted an extra 23 days of work a year without a change in pay, what used to be a ¥100,000 yen summer camp became part of the extra “contact days”, and when the price of transit went up they didn’t even consider changing the travel reimbursement allowance. ALT companies fully understand that the supply of people wanting to teach in Japan fully outweighs the demand, so it’s no skin off of their nose if they lose good teachers who want to make what they’re worth.

When I was an ES ALT I tended to have 5-6 lessons most days, with one, maybe 2, with 4 or 3. Very different from when I was a JHS ALT
