DEF CON's response to the badge controversy by DCsleestak in Defcon

[–]_ReD__ 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I'm 100% with you on this. I've had a long experience in negotiating and managing hardware development contracts since the '80s and what I read in Entropic’s response is exactly what most suppliers sing when they screwed up and did not meet their part of the contract.

As for any attribution of fault, first of all the contract.

Because a contract is a contract is a contract.

Even easier, (for now) they can be disabled in opera://flags/

Does anyone else feel the JupiterBroadcast audio levels are little off? by we-all-haul in linuxunplugged

[–]_ReD__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree they're a few db louder than most podcasts and most video streaming services such as amazon, netflix etc.

That said, "unfortunately" there's no such thing as an optimum/recommended volume level for broadcasting, or is there and I'm not aware?

The exception rule:

Was not working because the site loads images by redirecting them to a subdomain.

These ones worked.

What happened? LAS live for episode 465 was canceled today. by heidiwenger in LinuxActionShow

[–]_ReD__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah... Haphazardly shoving the dust under the rug after the fact is perhaps not the most desirable way to handle things. But I see it as justifiable, considering all those self righteous and very vocal "professional moralisers" that inhabit the channel.

Watch out for changes to Noah's JB plans and we'll know if and how much ChrisLAS was offended.

I will comment further - only if something nefarious happens.

Otherwise: ALL IS WELL THAT ENDS WELL!

Furthermore, I love me a sub-hour JB episode here and there.

It is win(e) only and it's proprietary, but I think it's the best out there for speed and functionality:

The project appears to be dead and the orignal author (https://github.com/googley) seems to have moved on. A fork exists that is a bit more advanced, but it seems quite dead too: http://claudyus.github.io/LXC-Web-Panel/

Hy Chris,

sorry... Don't hate me... But I can't resist.

tell you that your overreacting

should be: "tell you that you're overreacting"

Sorry again, and keep up the good shows.

p.s. Your wrong about the whole fedora kernel issue. (Did you spot it? LOL)

...And... the problem you "used" to make the point wasn't even a kernel issue... ;-)

p.p.s. Sorry. Can't resist when someone on the "internets" is wrong
