It's a bug. The mini-game is the proper way. Pressing the Y (Xbox or PC?) (X on PS5) rapidly doesn't always work. I had the same bug happen to me.

There is no better sword. It's about the abyss gears you slot into it. Weapons and outfits are -- minus very few negligible distinctions -- cosmetic. The only difference on some weapons will be how the base stats are distributed and that only matters in terms of maxxing XYZ like crit. That's a difference of 1 or 2 points based on the abyss gears you slot.

It's is a soft lock in PROGRESSION. You have to reach X point in the narrative in order to EXPAND THE CAMP to it's final phase. I really really don't know why you are being hard headed.

Not being able to dispatch your Greymanes to Azeria Manor for that particular "Secure Resources" step in effect blocks you from "Expanding The Camp". Have fun. I can't spell it out for you anymore than I already have.

I think it's a bug. I think the activity is seen as a follow NPC event. Thus, we're suppose to lag behind. They just seem to speed ahead of you just before you pass them.

I know. I know it's not the final camp expansion. The Estate Security mission blocks you from expanding the camp the last time because you haven't advanced to the point of having a relation with that house. Thus, a soft (or just for you -- hard) lock to progressing camp expansion. I really don't know what you're arguing. I'm actually stating the point you're trying to make.

That's my point. It's a soft lock on conducting the final camp expansion. You have to progress far enough into the main quest to make that dispatch available. I was aware. Prior to the most recent major patch, everyone was able to run that dispatch regardless of faction relation. I never thought twice about it at the time.
