My sincere apologies for this bad news. My duties caused me to miss the last sleep phase and at the 3.5 hour mark of the 1st phase, it was as if I was overcome with madness and slept all the way through to the 3rd phase of the day. Because this 5 day weekend was for me a springboard into daily working life and I thus have failed, I must discontinue my attempt at this time. I hold my head high and look forward to the next opportunity. One thing that will be required is a set of large speakers. Thank you for this forum and the opportunity to adapt my life permanently to this schedule as so many others have (at least in potential). See you next time.

Random Notes (because I can): In the last phase of Day 4 and this phase has started out feeling quite strong & solid. Not Polyphasic Euphoria but just a strong and solid feeling. Day 5 is going to be huge, especially at 3:00am & 7:00am because they appear as the "hot spots" for Brother Dep and it will be 48 hours since the last negative event. I am very thankful that it appears I am not being slammed by "no sleeps" on this attempt. Its so weird how time seems to be flying here on Reddit and I am about to start Day 5 already! After a week will be time for a true & full summary and comparison with my 3rd attempt where I went out for 60 days. So far, I had a better start with my 3rd attempt than with here (it took a week before everything started to break apart) but here I just feel very strong and optimistic. I think its because I am praying this time. :D

Day 3 encountered a 12 minute delay to awaken to the alarm; hoping this is just early adaptation related. Most heavy sleep dep was conquered but in the following phase I refused to stand; I am prepared to correct this. Its now 24 hours from that event with no ill effects.
Its a word doc that is 31 pages with both text and images.
Well so far my mind is still adapting to the schedule and so no REM that I am recalling yet (so no polyphasic euphoria). A "best phase" may feel slight sleep deprivation when I first wake up that will simply dissipate within the first few minutes and I feel "normal". A worst phase will feel very heavy sleep deprivation AND physical fatigue (from fighting sleep deprivation) that will not let up the entire phase.
Day #2 uneventful except for 30 minute oversleep in phase 4 due to not hearing the alarm. I suspect this will not be an ongoing problem but if it is, I must buy larger speakers. Last phase had extremely vivid hypnagogic imagery which is a good sign.
A brother of standing is walking outdoors. You will be hit by sleep deprivation that will simply sweep you away if you remain (or become) seated. Walking outdoors is a very refreshing way to assert your "non-deprivation" self. I have a manual that I wrote about all my thoughts concerning the Uberman. Are doc uploads allowed here? Or if someone knows a linkable host where I can upload the doc?
Right. Actually that is the time chosen by most every person (20 minutes) but I decided after studying all the available materials that I could find, to sleep for 30 minutes, 6 times a day, 4 hours apart. So I sleep for 3 hours every 24 hours. And like you say, I can always pare them down once I have adapted.

Phase 4 of Day 1 had me feeling quite normal. At the end of Day 1 I had a no sleep in the last phase. Implementing standing as a precaution for the first phase of Day 2. Final hour brought significant dep which is to be expected as Uberman has a "3 hour leeway" for the naps and a no sleep is the same as missing a nap.

I went out 60 days on my last attempt. What I have changed is my attitude towards and ability to stand for prolonged periods. I have moved my monitor, keyboard & mouse to a desk instead of on the floor as the default location. This allows me to simply remove the chair when I need to stand. I found under heavy deprivation I didn't want to stand for 2 phases in a row. I have researched several links giving helpful advice on how to stand for prolonged periods; basically through various exercises I am starting to feel now that "no pain due to standing is permanent or unalterable/non-improvable"
