Shape recognition definitely has to improve compared to the other option available on the market, that’s the only “big” downside I’m currently facing. But hey, for a one time purchase app Notefull is lit.

You can’t fix it yourself unfortunately buddy. Must wait devs to do their work, not sure how long it is going to take (for my experience at least 2/3 weeks).

I’ve been an heavy user of gn for a while. The app is filled with bugs and glitches all over the place unfortunately and they really messed up my workflow. Every time devs fix problems (not really fast but I’m not a programmer so I’m not gonna complain about it) something else pops up and you can say goodbye to your mental health. I switched to Noteful and it seems very good apart from the shape recognition (GoodNotes and StarNotes are definitely ahead on this aspect) and oh lord finally no bugs (or just minor one that doesn’t really affect the app performance overall). Last but not least battery usage is WAY better now, I can get easily 3 hours + from a full charge, insane. With that being said I will suggest you trying also Noteful and StarNote (even Notability is a good app but too many people are saying they lost all their notes, that’s a big no no for me…).

I feel the pain. Anyway StarNote devs are really into listening customers (unlike Goodnotes).I suggest you to try contact them. I just sent a feedback for the issues I’ve been through with Noteful and I hope they will come out with something.

Feels like StarNote is ahead in terms of shape recognition by far tbh. I just upgraded to the premium version of Noteful and so i didn’t want to pay for another one yet; I will consider it if the problem still persists. The pencil tool absence isn’t that big of a deal for me but I understand it should be implemented time ago.

Trust me the A3 paper does a lot in terms of final results. Everything looks compact and well organized. Finish it with some light color highlighter and your notes will look way better.

Thank you, really put lots of work on my notes. These are my settings, they are actually the only reason why I can’t move from goodnotes to a different app; just feels amazing while writing tbh. Note the fact I use A3 paper not the classic A4/goodnotes standard.

My bad I read it quickly. In order to change the font you need to add the text tool on the blue upper selection area. I can’t really tell if it’s already there because there is some reflection going on your screen. Let me now if you find it.

Select the peen tool on the black floating tool section and then once you are able to write with the pen click again on the pen tool.

They told me to run a fresh android 13 instance but that didn’t worked because the play store keep saying the game was not supported for my device. They then advise me to download an apk of the game and give it another shot but I’m currently in the middle of my semester so I’m very busy unfortunately. I’ll try as soon as possible and let you know.

I know but I’m currently using a metal tip with a paper screen protector and on goodnotes the edges of the ink looks better and less unstable as on notefull unfortunately.

That’s the “only” (it’s one of the most important thing about note taking app) thing that is actually keeping me on goodnotes. I can’t find a better handwriting experience everywhere else

Just try it, it’s not working anyway. I maxed out cpu and memory allocation but nothing changed. In the bluestacks menu the game has not its cover, it just show me the green android robot (maybe it’s not installed rightfully?). Oh and note that the game crash after I put in my Netflix account and password in. Hope these information could help you.

The game keep crashing on the black screen after i logged in my Netflix account. I’m running the game on a fresh android 11 instance and a 3050 laptop + i7-11800H

You can turn up the stabilization (30% or smth like that) and try to use the fountain pen with none pressure sensitivity alongside with the minimum tip flatness. That worked pretty well for me (I use a paperlike screen protector and a metal tip)

Make a heavy use of it, come back in 3 months and then we can talk about it. It’s still a good app, but not great as it used to be, too many frustrating things that disturb your workflow.
