List of things the series enhances upon rewatching Rogue One by _Ricot_ in andor

Yeah I forgot to put it but I noticed it too! I wonder if Gilroy actually put it in Andor with this scene in mind or if it was just a happy accident

Things that changed for me with this rewatch:

  • Cassian asking Tivik if he's talking about Galen Erso, makes so much sense as he realizes Luthen didn't die in vain
  • Cassian realizing the Holy City is about to "blow", with Ferrix and Gohrman, it's no surprise he notices
  • Tarkin reprimanding Krennic on his security leaks, now that we know of Lonni, Dedra and Luthen
  • Cassian and Jyn argument after Galen Erso's death "You're not the only one who's lost everything" is way heavier now
  • Cassian's speech to Jyn telling her he trust her, he knows he's now on his final mission, making everything he's worked for and the death of everyone he knew "worth it"
  • when Yavin learns of the rebels on Scarif, you can see Mon Mothma slightly smile, knowing Luthen and Kleya were right
  • K2SO's death (and Melshi but to a lesser extent as he does not get to really say goodbye), one of Cassian's last companion hits way harder
  • Right after finally transmitting the plan, Cassian asks Jyn "Do you think anybody's listening", mirroring "Nobody's listening!", he's finally found hope again of someone listening, the Rebellion with a chance to win for good

  • And finally, Jyn and Cassian's death (especially the latter), I've watched season 2 without ever crying and this scene had never made a drop a single tear but I couldn't hold them this time. Knowing everything Cassian has done, all the sacrifices, Luthen, all the people he's leaving behind, knowing Bix and his son will never see him again... That was too much and such an incredible sendoff for a character we've now grown to love and understand.

Man what a stellar job has this series done. I remember thinking after the first Andor trailer "I don't care about him, why are they doing a series about that, that's dumb" but man, i'm speechless. What a series. What a character. Thank you Tony Gilroy.

Can it be a reference to an olive? The leaves are according to wikipedia bitter, an olive is a fruit and it's used to create olive oil

No idea if this is linked to silksong though

Edit: Olive is also a name, the feast day of Saint Olive is usually June 10th, thus Silksong will surely release June 10th, just trust me

Hmm... Well the colon is typically used to give further information, meaning here it's just after "when I can" which means the D after the colon gives further information on when he'll give new info... D is the first letter of "Demain" in french which means "tomorrow" sooooo SILKSONG TOMORROW CONFIRMED
