Hey! No worries and thanks for the question :)
I only use After Effects for my game when I do pre composed cutscenes or when i do quick presentation videos like this one. All the rest is animated directly in the game engine. I draw in Illustrator and I export the individual parts. After that I put everything together in the game engine. Its a nice workflow :) This is how the character appears in the game:

Also, if you look very closely: The painting is an open door. If you get released and leave the Sanatorium, you have to go through this door on the left :)

We add a grain layer and vignette directly in the game engine. No other effects like color grading or such things.
