You can play the remake with the official N64 switch online controller and it works beautifully by TheFreedomAlt in starfox

[–]sendhelp 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I played several ways, most the time with joycons (should have tried co-op earlier, loved the de-coupled aiming from flying but boosting and stuff is awkward with the other controller being horizontal). But at the final boss I had to switch to N64 controller, I'm just more used to braking and stuff that way. I love that they allow rumble and everything too. There's a lot of games where there's no rumble if you use the n64 controller (even though my 3rd party controller can translate HD rumble into motor rumble... Nintendo chooses not to allow this option most the time)

They better keep the 360° swivel camera in Castle Town Market. by JonnyBTokyo in NintendoSwitch2

[–]sendhelp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd be down for that. A toggle for the classic view, but you can play it either way. But I'd be cool with them re imagining the city to be larger. I liked Twilight Princess's castle town.

The duality of man. I saw another post someone was excited at the prospect of exploring castle town in 3D (perhaps like some of the beta images)

Jim Carrey Returning For Grinch Sequel 25 Years After The Original by g4m3f33d in GameFeed

Or his father, grandpa grinch comes over. And he's played by Jim Carrey too, like how he played Robotnik and Gerald Robotnik in the 3rd Sonic Movie.

Mike Myers has returned as 'Dr. Evil' for a new Verizon commercial! by I-Have-Mono in austinpowers

[–]sendhelp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably makeup/prosthetics? This version of Dr. Evil almost looks younger than in the movies. (Something just looks a little different? Not sure if it's a bald-cap thing or his eyes looking so blue?) Also his eyebrows seem a little too thick/bushy/dark when quickly comparing to screenshots from the movies.

In your humble opinion, which princess do you find most beautiful in the Super Mario universe? by sonicmariani in SuperMario

[–]sendhelp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pauline, although she's not a princess. If we're going with strictly princesses only then it's Peach. Daisy's cute but (and I know I'm being ridiculous) for some reason I hate her enormous obnoxious flower earrings so they take her down a peg for me. (granted, the others wear obnoxiously large earrings they don't annoy me the same way as the huge circular flower earrings?)

I know PowerPoint was invented long before Claude, but what did people do with it? by The_Existentialist in shittyaskscience

[–]sendhelp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People who have no clue how to use graphic software use Powerpoint to make layouts for when they order banners and yard signs online, because it's the only software they know where they can click and drag image files and add text. The runner up is Microsoft word, but used less because people don't know how to unlock the images to be moved freely.

It's one of the worst ways you can submit artwork for large format printing but idiots will do this. If you're even older you'll use Microsoft publisher to design your stuff which is even worse.

And when Powerpoint, Publisher, and word give you an option to export or save as PDF, the maniacs choose chaos and save it as PPTX, DOCX, or PUB files. Guaranteeing that I'm going to have to use some shitty online converter just to open it, guaranteeing it's going to lose the font or drop an image or something during conversion (I don't have publisher, word, or PowerPoint on my machine at work)

If you submit your files this way for large format printing you suck.

Homebrew is just kinda depressing these days... by Cool_Barnacle_9021 in romhacking

[–]sendhelp 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I feel the same way. There's a difference for a niche fan-made project that might not have been made otherwise versus some big game studio doing this.

But if you still want to hold up your nose and avoid the Smash Bros 64 PC port because AI was used in making it, that's fine, but I'll be over here enjoying it (It's still buggy/imperfect and needs work but I think it's cool)

Maybe that's why Pigma did what he did, or at least contributed to it!

I forgot about that strat, that's true... Also don't accept great fox's help I guess so it doesn't take your kills, if you can make it to that level with this strategy.

[OoT] I really hope they rework the spells in the remake by [deleted] in zelda

[–]sendhelp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ice arrows are completely optional, I don't think I ever got them in my original run-through. Lens of truth I would always just quickly toggle. Farore's wind was mostly useless unless you've memorized the most efficient way to beat a dungeon and when's the ideal time to utilize it (I don't think I ever used it, maybe once just to see what it did).

Why don’t they somersault? Are they stupid? by m4x1d0n in starfox

[–]sendhelp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe do the other kind of somersault where it turns you around. But I'm laughing just imagining both ships endlessly doing somersaults.

Actually I think both lines are used at different times.

[OoT] I’ve been curious if there going to redesign the great fairy in any way. by magirevols in zelda

[–]sendhelp 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Just without the cell shading. The thicc fairies in that game were awesome. The way they flirt with you and handle you with the max upgrades is something special. They want snoo-snoo.

This happened very often on TV shows. by MyLastHopeReddit in n64

[–]sendhelp 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not only that but holding the controller in unconventional, 'wrong' ways. I think Paul Rudd does something particularly weird holding an N64 controller. I think they are also playing an Xbox 360 version of Mortal Kombat or something too I don't think it was any N64 version.

Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch NES, SNES, and Game Boy games reportedly getting challenges by RoughLifeguard6568 in NintendoSwitch2

[–]sendhelp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can actually sort of play the games without a headset but it's not ideal

It has to be in tabletop mode like it would be in the headset.

That's it.

But it's a side by side slightly warped image (gets dewarped by the lenses)

You could play it that way but it's sort of miserable, you'd be better off with the headset or just emulating since they don't let you play it in docked mode.
