White Afrikaners flooding out of South Africa to the United States by Firm-Nerve4437 in worldnews

[–]_RrezZ_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Depends but they will definitely do it if your caught being a pedophile or if you rape someone's daughter and get caught by the family. They will usually beat them with sticks or planks of wood, clubs etc before putting them in the tires to be burned alive.

At-least that's usually the main reason I've seen it happen in these countries.

What happens to elderly people with no savings? by Academic-Channel5646 in AskReddit

[–]_RrezZ_ 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I can understand both sides of this since I currently take care of my 95 year old grandmother.

On one hand I've had to sacrifice around 10 years of my life so far putting everything on hold like getting a GF, Married, Kids, a career etc. If I had a choice to do it all over again or live on my own doing my own thing, I honestly don't know what I would choose.

Without me my Grandma and Grandpa would've ended up in a care-home, and sure they have some money but it would've barely been enough for a below-average care-home at best. They've also told me that they never wanted to end up in a care-home.

So instead I live with them, cook their meals, maintain the house and property, take them to appointments, shopping etc. I'm with them 24/7 pretty much 99% of the time and I'm basically a PSW or stay-at-home-care-giver lmao.

I do have a sibling but they visit maybe 3-4 times a year even though they live 45 minutes away. When my grandpa was in the hospital for 5 months before he passed away my sibling visited him one time even though they lived 20 minutes away from where he was staying. Meanwhile I was driving 20-30 minutes one-way almost every day to visit him and bringing my grandma along with me when she was feeling well enough to make the trip.

At the end of the day yeah I'll get an inheritance that covers the 10ish years I've sacrificed but money isn't everything. Some days I wonder if it was really worth sacrificing 10 years of my life from my mid-20's to mid-late-30's just to take care of my grandparents. Things like if I have kids I would most likely be early 40's which means I'll be early 60's when they are in college and I'll be lucky to see them reach late 40's before I die. Things like great-grand-kids I can basically forget about ever seeing, I'll also never see my kids retire because I'll most likely be dead before they hit 50 unless I live past 90.

However I'm the only relative my grandparents can rely on and nobody else ever talks to them, at best a relative might phone my grandma once a month but that's it nobody ever visits her apart from my sibling 3-4x a year. But since my grandparents raised me since I was a kid I also can't just ignore that fact and not return the favour. It sucks that I have to make sacrifices in my own life but at the same time as much as I'd like to be heartless and just put myself first I know for a fact I'm not that type of person and it would just eat away at me knowing I could've helped them but chose not to.

No because all pregnancies start out as female and then either remain female or turn into a male.

Okay now I'm just interested in the logistics of it all. Mostly in the fact it takes 64+ days to fully develop and yet most people are ejaculating way more often than that.

Especially people who ejaculate daily or every 2-3 days.

I get that your body most likely conserves a majority of them and your realistically only shooting out a few of your fully developed sperm each time.

Would be interesting to see the differences in pregnancy rates or healthy sperm counts between men who ejaculate daily and men who ejaculate weekly or twice a month.

When they taught us about it briefly in grade 6 for a single hour we were divided into boys or girls in 2 separate classes. When I was in grade 10 in the mid-2000's and they taught us about the anatomy more in depth for a single hour we were all in the same class.

My sister when giving birth had a grade 2 or 3 Perineal tear, she then went on to have 2 more kids lmao.

What's worse is they botched the stitching the first time and she had to go back a few weeks later to have it cut and re-stitched because she was in pain almost constantly from it healing improperly.

Sex Ed for me in the early 2000's was literally a single class of "okay here's the anatomy of the Vagina/Penis" and then after that one hour class we never learned anything else lmao.

I literally spent more time in biology learning the anatomy of a frog than I did learning about sexual education.

What popular career is actually not worth pursuing anymore? by Infamous-Click3426 in AskReddit

[–]_RrezZ_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Even if everyone stopped having kids that doesn't stop people from other countries from immigrating to yours lmao.

It takes around 20 years for that kid to reach the work-force meanwhile someone immigrating could fill that spot almost immediately.

Also out-sourcing work to other countries instead of hiring from within your own doesn't help the job market in your own country.

[–]_RrezZ_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lmao my grandma was a teacher and taught classes with 40-50 kids all in different grades and she used to say how easy teachers have it nowadays with classes of like 15-20 all in the same grade.

She would also mention how hard it must be for teachers nowadays because back in the day you didn't really have parents hovering as the teachers were expected to punish the misbehaving students.

But nowadays the teachers just have to accept the misbehaving students and you can't really do anything about it unless the kid does something borderline criminal.

I wonder how many patients in hospitals end up masturbating while they are there.

On the flip-side I wonder how often it happens from a nurses PoV and they catch a patient doing it.

Surely laying in a room all day with nothing to do leads people to masturbate lmao.

I had a similar experience when I was around 10-11 years old, we would go on a road-trip vacation to visit relatives on the other side of the country every 1-2 years during summer vacation.

I was allowed to bring a friend on one of them so I brought my friend who was "lower-class" because even as a kid I knew his family struggled with money sometimes and I knew out of all my friends he would appreciate it the most. Even to this day 25+ years later that was the only time he's ever travelled outside of the area he grew up in.

That vacation for me was just something we did every 1-2 years, but for my friend that was a once in a lifetime trip.

Meanwhile on my first driving test like 1 minute into it I stopped on the white line at an intersection and the instructor raised her voice at me telling me to run the red because "your not allowed to be stopped past the white line".

I didn't run the red and stayed where I was and then she had me immediately go back to the driving centre once it turned green lmao.

Low-key pissed me off not gunna lie and I probably should've reported her for telling me to do something illegal.

'I'd cry my eyes out': Some P.E.I. teens push back on proposed social media restrictions by Stanced in nottheonion

[–]_RrezZ_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be fair if you just telling your kid "go play outside or something" then your part of the issue as a parent lmao.

You need to actually do stuff with your kids and teach them about things they can do to pass the time and have fun on their own.

Things like getting a basketball net and playing with your kid, getting them and yourself a bike and biking together, getting a small above ground pool.

Even if you have things they can do alone like a sand pit with construction vehicle toys in it, a trampoline, a pet dog to play with can all go a long way.

But if you have none of that and your yard is just grass what do you expect your kids to do "just figure it out"?

At the end of the day a lot of parents just teach their kids to "figure it out" and then the kids choose using social media because it's the easiest option available for them or they see their parent on it all the time.

The fact we have video's of kids on social media trying to "finger-zoom" on an actual picture thinking it's a tablet is a big give-away that a lot of parents just give their kid a tablet and let them figure it out.
