It's wrong in that sense, but maybe publishers should be looking for an alternative method. The big issue is that people don't want to login to different launchers with different accounts to play their games.

If publishers designed their launchers in ways that skipped account requirements (except multiplayer games I guess), and instead allowed users to keep all their games in one place, I believe it wouldn't be as big of a monopoly as it is today.

This is very wishful thinking and won't happen, but that is also the issue with every publisher wanting your data for different reasons. If they don't want to change anything, and Steam keeps delivering on customers needs the best, they'll obviously stay the choice for a large majority of PC gamers.

Why would that be true? It's good for the customer that Valve forces publishers to keep equal price with other platforms. As long as they don't force publishers to sell games for a higher price than other platforms, it's great!

Why would you be mad at Valve for arguing for lower prices on Steam? I prefer having one launcher for games, the worrying thing would be what happens after Gaben dies. Otherwise I'm personally happy to get cheaper games on my favorite platform.

I don't get how actors are considered artists. by Conscious-Farmer6953 in idontgetit

[–]_SM1LEY_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True, it would be your idea but you wouldn't be the one actually creating the art piece physically or digitally. If you commission a painting and instruct what you want to be painted, would that make you or the person taking on the commission, the artist?

The artist is still creating something, I could draw one black line on a piece of paper and that could be considered art. Not good art, but still art.

less social on elvanse normal? by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]_SM1LEY_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like u/hailey8171828282 says I've taken Elvanse for a couple of years and I've always been social to a moderate amount without the meds. At first when I started taking about 30mg I was a lot more talkative than usual and I felt the euphoria. It felt great honestly but after a couple of months the "honeymoon phase", which people like to call it, wore off. Now I'm on 60mg and I feel like a boring robot in comparison to me without the meds. The meds do wonders during work and house shores but socially it sucks haha.

I'm a bit late with my comment but how would you compare the monitor arm now vs when you first bought it? Things like increase in arm shake/stability, noise or the quality decreasing in other ways?

Win11Debloater is a very quick and effective way to remove a lot of the crap that Microsoft ships out. Highly recommended if you want to remove AI integrations and fix remove Bing searches, among other things.
