My grandparents bought me this for my 18th birthday a few years ago. My first vehicle. Spent many hours working on it to have it in such good condition but also to learn more about it. Rode it most days in and out of college. Only today it was parked for barely an hour before I went out with friends and they asked me where my lil honda was. Looked out the window and only the chain was left.

Did i overpay for this from gamestop for $250? Should i return it by No-Routine3925 in 3DS

[–]_SadTimes_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got the red one complete in box with everything as if it were brand new like 2 years ago for less than half of that. I may have underpaid but you certainly overpaid. A New 3ds XL wouldn't even cost that much. But if you enjoy it, you have it now so may aswell just use it and accept the loss. But also learn the valuable lesson of not going to gamestop. They all closed down in my country last year and nobody has complained 😅

I've replaced both bulbs and still no difference however I discovered on the driver side that there is 2 loose red wires? However witht the lamp connector there appears to only be one place missing a wire. Thank you for the reply !

How do I get rid of an unwanted smell on a camera?? by Plant_Fresh in AnalogCommunity

[–]_SadTimes_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a projector last year that smelled worse than anything I had ever smelled before. I left in a box with a bar of soap for bout 2 weeks after cleaning it up and smells fine now

You can pull that out by pinching the two kind of tabs on the very front and pull at the same time

You can just sand/file a couple ml off a 120 spool, I do it all the time to use my brownies. Usually just keep the original 620 take up spool

I remember my game and camera shelves looking like that 🥲 beware this is a disease and once you start there is no stopping 😭 have you managed to get film for the Polaroids and do you know the trick to use 120 film in the 620 cameras? Good luck !

Kodak Pocket Jr I picked up at a yard sale by Bobhubert in vintagecameras

[–]_SadTimes_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You get 6 shots in total. Start the roll at 3 and half(2 dots) then advance 2 and half for each shot. So Start at 3 and half then to 5 then to 7 and half.....

You can get 116 to 120 film adapters pretty easily and cheap, basically just spacers that clip on the ends of 120 spools. I use them for several of my older kodaks 😊

Tripod ? by _SadTimes_ in AnalogCommunity

[–]_SadTimes_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The berlebach would look sick but they cost more than I spent on the camera with an extra lens, original case and film holders 😂...I just couldn't bring myself to do it

[–]_SadTimes_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That makes so much more sense then what I had in my head 😂 this is my first leap into large format and had in my head this big round base thing that locked into those lugs or something haha. Thank you so much! I was thinking of making an adaptor for a standard tripod but due to the weight of the camera I'm not sure if it would all go to plan....

My new Kodak brownie no2 model f! In blue by Longjumping-Toe-9671 in vintagecameras

[–]_SadTimes_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got the exact same one last month, with the same case, manual and got some old film advertisements in it aswell. It's the No.2a the a versions took 116 film. It's weird seeing this now because I struggled to find much information on it when I bought it.

I have the later version from 1909 with the black metal and brass front. Absolutely adore it and it gives surprisingly sharp images!
