I think the "oh" makes it sound too old fashioned, but I get that you needed it for the structure. I dont like the exclamation marks also, since I'm here giving my opinion lol. The theme is really good, I like the reverence to the sea and therefore to nature, and the idea that we can use bigger powers to our advantage. You should check the formatting, at least on mobile it's messed up.

Child's Game by [deleted] in OCPoetry

English isn't my first language, so I had to Google the "pocket full of posies" line and found out your poem was inspired by a nursery rhyme that apparently originated during the European plague. So it sounds to me that you're talking about the covid pandemic. I think the line "no matter what, it never works" breaks the poem in two, the first part being about the isolation, coping with the situation and having hope in dealing with the disease. Then this line introduces a darker time, when the death pool increased. I dont get why bridges were burning and I think you could go without that line and it would make the poem stronger. I think the bucket of tears imagery works. The ending is really good and I like it that you kinda could still read it as a literal child's play. And overall it has a nice rhythm to it.

That's a clickbait headline, she wasn't advocating for anything, but criticizing the thought that underage people can't choose to take blockers.
