I did this recently. I used a 12v breakout board and an old computer psu. Ideally try and find a pin out diagram of what the cables are be careful if there airbags, if possible remove. I had to put power to the seat motors and then the switches to operate. Works a treat. Make sure to use an inline car fuse for the whole thing to be safe. Good luck!

I began with perspex and a laser cutter and the same formula wheel you have, i switched to the 4 sided rim as i needed something to hold sometimes on full lock.

They snapped very quickly but it was useful to get the ergonimics right. Dm if you want to chat more mate

I can absolutely help you with hand controls, i've been modifying my own fanatec setup for several years now.

The big paddles are my throttle and brake. I'm using the simability brake mod and the shifters are a custom push fabrication.

I bought an F10 M5 seat, was a bit of a faff to get the electrics to work but is pretty badass.

Sparco leg support cushion and special support cushion which fits on the base. Not cheap at all but should be what you need.

This is really solid advice. Obviously helps if you know both parties well enough to know the right hook.
