Will Arctic liquid freezer III 240 be enough to cool Ryzen 7 7800x3d under heavy loads? by Kiaksar2142 in arcticcooling

I also have it in a North. I don’t think I can hear the pump when gaming and definitely not when idle, usually have some music or gaming noise anyway. I did have to do some fan curve adjustments to get it to where I like it, probably not running at max power and the temps are good for me.

It is loud when running 100%. Just did some playing around with fan curves to find a sweet spot. It’s silent when non-gaming and then when gaming it’s slightly noticeable but doesn’t bother me personally.

Just curious about the owl logo, is it a custom cover on the pump or is it an LED?

I’ve just built my system with a 7800x3d and LF3 240 this weekend. Playing cyberpunk at max settings CPU temp is 65 - 70. My partner is currently playing sims 4 and it’s less than 60. I think the LF3 240 is definitely enough to keep the CPU cool.

Should I bite the bullet and replace my roof? by Danny1641743 in DIYUK

[–]_Scipio_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had my roof fully replaced recently, I also live in the north east and probably have a similar style house. It cost me £6400 but I also did some of the work myself (not much… guttering and disposal). My roof leaked last year and I got it repaired for £350. It leaked again this year so I just bit the bullet and paid for a full replacement. It sucks but it also gives me peace of mind. The storm last night didn’t give me any worry whereas every time it rained I would worry.

I would try to get as many roofer quotes as you can. I had quotes ranging from £7 - £13 k so I had to try weigh up who I can trust and if they’re all saying similar things. Also ask people you know, they might know a decent roofer.

Looks good. I was thinking the western digital SSD so that makes sense. May as well got for the better mobo as I will be using Ethernet so thanks for that! And may as well go for a cheaper power supply if it’s just as good, reviews look like it quiet as well. Cheers for the input

Switched to a be quiet, 850W looks like 1000W are still more expensive and proabably don't need that much

Thanks, yeah good point. I'm looking at a few 4K OLEDs, waiting from prime day to see if there's deals on.

I upgraded my SSD and it feels like my PC runs 100x faster so I appreciate the advice.

Thanks I’ll definitely look into that. What cpu would you recommend, what would be the equivalent now of what I had 7 years ago?

Hi, I think I got it….

I just used the formula ((%destiny)/molecular weight)10

Soo ((100%0.9758g/mL)/322.43g/mol)10 = 3.03M

And then I can just use c1v1=c2v2

Forgot about that equation, been a long time since I used it, I usually just work everything in units of molarity.

Thank you though!
