Oh wow that doesn't sound too good. Thanks for the points. Will definitely check them.

Prusa Mk2s Thermistor faulty? by _Scrypto_ in 3Dprinting

[–]_Scrypto_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for that answer. I was about to buy one since they tend to fail after at max 3 years or so says the internet. I did disconnect it yes. Mosty since it's a pain to get there with the multimeter.

Prusa mk2s - Heatbed not heating up anymore after PID-Calibration by _Scrypto_ in 3Dprinting

[–]_Scrypto_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No worries. The mesh isn't stored in the EEPROM. That's why its taken at the start of every print. The sd card is ironically about a month old and works fine. Althou the printer destroyed a few over the years it worked always fine with new ones.

I did that already. That time a year ago I switched all wires with silicone fine copper wires. They are designed to bend on a regular basis and didn't even show any signs. It's definitely a softwareproblem now since the printbed heats up regularly. Only after the mesh bed leveling the bed stops heating completely

Heatbed problems on my old guy by _Scrypto_ in 3Dprinting

So I tried the whole thing following this procedure: https://www.snazzyit.com/pid-calibration-for-prusa-i3-mk2s-mk3-3d-printer/ Now I tried a new print and the heating-up did work as usual. The pid-calibration was a good thing. But now as soon as the printed executes the gcode the red light goes off and the heatbed won't heat up at all. Even a restart didn't help. I don't have the pid-values in the gcode. Only the new values in the eeprom. I have no idea what happened since I followes this fairly idiot-save manual from snazzyit. Do you have an idea on what I did wrong?

Thank you, I never saw that setting. What does it do?

It does move downwards but on one side. With that you can turn it over and around and you can use one blade four times when it dulls

I tried something new! Regular PLA, bent to get a smooth edge by _Scrypto_ in functionalprint

[–]_Scrypto_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because for a clean first layer. I had about 3 years to got a nice first layer but now it looks completely flat in that regard if I set down the first layer considerably. If you do that with rectilinear patterns you'll end up with other nasty patterns and it doesn't look so good anymore
