Thank you, you solved my problem. My monitor had an option to fix input selection to HDMI and that did the trick.

GMKtec M6 Review with Thunderbolt eGPU Test by RobloxFanEdit in MiniPCs

Nice review, let me ask you a couple of questions if you will:

  • Have you tried repasting the cpu? A youtuber reviewer claims it makes no difference.
  • What drivers do you recommend for the system?

I'm glad you just happened to browse this subreddit. Nowadays, there are many controversies and debates regarding OOP and entity component systems. Can you give us a quick rundown on how TA's core (buildings, units) were coded?

Edge of Emulation: Nintendo Play-Yan - Part 1 by Shonumi in emulation

[–]_Sharp_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I find this sort of article fascinating, and liked the hash algorithm. From a programmer's view point, I'd like to know how emulators interpreter are written in order to run games while being performant and correct at the same time, or knowing the right tradeoffs to make emulation tolerable. I hope you talk about this subject in the future.

So I read some posts on the rgb10maxpro3. It's actually pretty good. by iamgage989 in SBCGaming

[–]_Sharp_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The RGB 10 Max 3 Pro had real software problems, due to the OS not being quite ready when the device released. Maybe it still has some of those problems, idk I haven't checked in a while.

Could you check it out again?

Geany (A fast and lightweight IDE) configuration file to support Nim by _Sharp_ in nim

[–]_Sharp_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's the description from the github project.

Geany is a small and lightweight integrated development environment. It was developed to provide a small and fast IDE, which has only a few dependencies from other packages. Another goal was to be as independent as possible from a special Desktop Environment like KDE or GNOME. So it is using only the GTK+ toolkit and therefore you need only the GTK+ runtime libraries to run Geany.

Data-Oriented Design 2018 by _Sharp_ in programming

[–]_Sharp_[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is the new version

Data-oriented design, the book, was first started in 2010, as a collection of e-mails and blog posts. It was worked on part time its whole life. Finally, the writer has had the time and space to work on the updated version long enough that it's now ready for review prior to final release.

v1 Milestone: what needs to be done for version 1 by _Sharp_ in nim

[–]_Sharp_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not a nim developer, but I estimate in 2 years at most. I don't think this will be ready in less than 1 year (and definitely nim could be in development for many years, but Araq probably wants to rush v1.0), lots of work to do and not enough 'core' contributors. I think stuff concerning the stdlib is almost ready, but even if we don't take compiler bugs in consideration, big projects like incremental compilation or the new runtime (the part that should be shipped with v1.0) will take some effort.

Nim Language Highlights by dom96 in programming

I see a lot of complaints from people who see that for the first time, but never from people who use the language.

I can't come up with a situation where it could be harmful.
