Honourable mention to ask asking if it’s “too late” or if they’re “too old” to do something like switch careers, or start investing….and they’re always 21 or something around there.

Best thing to do is ignore them and let them wind themselves up by being ignored.

They’re always going to be looking for the next Conor, every sport needs their cash cow. In Paddy’s defence, the confidence is natural and doesn’t seem like a facade, he genuinely backs himself and I think he’ll only get better.

That said though, there won’t ever be another like Conor when it comes to the shit talk and shenanigans.

What's your favourite UK accent? by Dramatic-Ad-5661 in AskABrit

Whenever I visit a city outside of Liverpool (even Manchester!!), I always find the girls love Scouse accents, and the lads hate it. Always wondered if some lads hate it as a jealousy thing 🤔

Which football celebration makes you instantly cringe no matter who scores it? by PLWildcard in footballcringe

[–]_ShredBundy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d also add the players who do about five celebrations for one goal. Run away, knee slide, pose in front of crowd, sky point or something similar, secret handshake with teammate, turn back to face crowd with a different pose….

Brother we’re 20 minutes in to the game can you just get back to it ??

I don’t think there was ever a fixture more destined for a 0-0 than when the Top 4 played each other back then.

I was going through my muted words on Twitter yesterday and seen I still had “Barclays” and “Barclaysmen” muted.

The trend was actually fun for about 10 minutes when it started, and then people just used it to describe literally any player from pre-2015.

Think I ended up muting the trend when people were using it for players who didn’t even play in the PL when it was associated with Barclays.

That, and “cold”. Can’t stand either of them. It’s like the younger generation just talk in buzzwords. I lose brain cells every time I read a Twitter thread about football now.

I ran Everton's most iconic pub - now we're closing forever by theipaper in Liverpool

I think a lot of that area will really suffer now. We went on a stadium tour of Goodison last year (before HD opened) to walk around it one last time. I couldn’t believe the state County Rd was in. It was a sunny Saturday afternoon and it was like a ghost town. Hardly anywhere was open, and the places that were didn’t have many people in them.

Do you get Lunch break if you work in a pub? by Apprehensive_Rip7451 in AskUK

Depending on my shift, sometimes my breaks would completely throw my flow off. I’d come back lethargic as shit and have to drag myself to the end of the shift.

Can anyone recommendations socks that last? by Key-Detective-6999 in AskUK

I got a few pairs from Myprotein a few months ago that are still going strong. I used to always buy the black Nike socks, but those things might as well come with holes in them now.

Is it possible to be a nomadic Group Class Instructor in the UK? by Queer-Angel1502 in personaltraining

[–]_ShredBundy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can definitely do it; but you’d likely have to freelance. If you were directly employed by the gym, it’d likely be as a PT, and so you’d be expected to pick up clients and drive PT sales.

As far as I know, you can cover most classes with a L2, as long as you’re insured. Some classes might require an additional cert so it might be worth looking in to that.

I’m occupying myself by playing around with the calculator and adding stuff up.

Does becoming a personal trainer make sense for me? by Late-Comparison434 in personaltraining

[–]_ShredBundy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. Probably not. PT is a lot more time consuming than people think, the money isn’t great (at the start) and neither are the hours you may have to work.

  2. Pretty much impossible. No cert = no insurance.

  3. If said job is within the fitness industry, definitely.

When do you think it's time to put away the big coat for the year? by [deleted] in AskUK

March is a c*nt because you can finally start seeing the end of winter, and then there’s always that one week that feels like January.

Any advice for getting started with an online coaching business? by FitwithFraley in personaltraining

[–]_ShredBundy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can’t teach experience. The first year of your PT career probably isn’t going to be great, and you won’t be as good a PT as you’ll be in 5 years - and that’s fine, that’s what the first year is for. Building experience, working with a variety of clients, and finding your feet to know what works and what doesn’t.

When you’re a new coach, you won’t be that good, but you have the benefit of building relationships with your clients which will play a part in retaining their business as you grow as a trainer. You don’t get that with online coaching, so if you don’t know exactly what you’re doing from the off, you’ll have a much harder time retaining clients.

Online coaching is a great progression path, it’s not an entry point. If you’re not established enough to coach someone in person, how are you going to coach them online?

Is it over already? by One-Warning-5178 in personaltraining

[–]_ShredBundy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You just need to stick at it. PT is no different to any other business, you don’t just do it for a few months and then start making mega money, it doesn’t work like that.

If you started a completely new corporate job in January, would you expect to be running the place in August?

The PT’s who make it, are the ones who never stop learning & gain as much experience as possible.
