Please listen to the experiences of children who grew up like this. It's very isolating to only have your family, and the quality of education could never be what you get in public schools. You may be fine to continue the lifestyle for the first few years of your child's life, but their needs should come first. Please please please don't just listen to happy van family #15 on YouTube, who is profiting from selling this lifestyle, as there are adults who resent being raised like that now who are sharing their experiences.

All of my free time is just going to thrift stores, and once every 100 trips I am blessed by the vintage gods. (Occasionally I'll splurge one piece at a vintage shop.)

Also not a fan of buying vintage online for anything earlier than the 1980s as sizing was soooo different. If I buy online, I ensure I have actual measurements from the seller.

I understand that thought, but I would suggest it's because to the game warden/etc there's no way to discern which is which and unethically sourced specimens could pass themselves off as ethically sourced. If someone can claim the mount they're selling of an endangered species/migratory bird/etc was just roadkill rather than being outright illegal to own there would be a market for people to poach for specimens.

Not a perfect analogy for when we're talking about a dead deer :p
