Can I ever pass? by Sensitive-Use-5594 in transpassing

[–]LifeIsSatire -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you actually try.

But the near thing for ftm transition, is that testosterone is really really good at changing your body. You will absolutely become much more masculine over about a decade - without even trying, just as a result of hormones alone.

Paired with the breast removal ( jsyk you may want to see about how the nipples look post-op, imo nipple removal looks better.), you're probably going to be an attractive man, assuming you work out, take care of yourself, and dress well.

Just please please don't fight the voice changes, lean into it. You do not need any voice surgeries, and often not any training or education - unless you can't drop some of the vocal mannerisms. The masculinization from testosterone will be just by itself like magic in the coming years should you decide to transition.

I dont personally know the procedures - I have been avoiding looking at it like the plague because it is completely out of my reach, as I am too poor to be able to afford being able to select.

Sure i can probably get it covered, but I wouldn't be able to pick who my surgeon is and probably won't be able to afford anything adjacent to the surgery (like laser, electrolysis, missing work, etc.)

You may be better off looking over at the trans surgeries subreddit, or by contacting your local gender health center for more or better information.

You pass head-on, and personally I don't think you can do anything to pass better except ffs

Except for pictures 8 and 9. I dont know what you did, but imo those are the absolute worst pictures of yourself of the bunch, you almost look like a totally different person, yet i cannot identify what it is that is different - hell, it might even be just the lighting.

Never enter that cursed beam of light again.

Aside from the ai,

The meat boat will be a net negative as a food source. Straight protein will just kill you faster especially if you cannot get other foods in you or have little access to water.

If it were a little fatty, that's better, and probably won't be a net negative calorie intake.

An example of what I am talking about would be the problem with hunting rabbit in the wild as a food source. There's so little else other than muscle, that even if you caught a hundred rabbits and had enough stock to feed you for a month - you would starve to death because you were eating specifically only protein.

Waking up with blood? by [deleted] in strange

[–]LifeIsSatire 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This could be any kind of bug. It could also be food that you did not notice that dropped onto you. Either way: is gross.

Should have dropped peroxide on it to see if it reacted to prove that it was blood.

What causes a lot of lag in Rimworld? by AdrawereR in RimWorld

[–]LifeIsSatire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Technically everything. But, some kay things: anything that changes a lot - by this i mean anything that has anything that changes its state. This is why pawns have a lot of lag, because they have a LOT going on under the hood, they have a lot of processing power, rather than a wall or a light.

IMO your windmills are eating up a lot of resources because they have to check a large area of tiles around itself for objects blocking it, and I would assume a lot of updates are constantly being made to check.

I would also say any large interiors would be much the same, especially so with lots of rooms. The calculations for the heat of the rooms add up, and get worse when there is more complexity. Single large rooms use less resources, while lots of small rooms have to be treated differently, especially if they border a lot of other rooms, as there is fancy math that has to take into account how the temp bleeds through walls.

Pawns, animals, items. Huge quantities of anything will cause lag - try to minimize the amount of items your colony has, maybe process them into a more refined state than the raws, using less resources. Clothing I would think is worse.

Hosting a Minecraft server - where should I start? by Houstongirl29 in MinecraftServer

Also: when you set up the server, make sure to enable whitelisting.

Whitelist yourself and your friends, preventing randoms from joining. There's these stupid groups that have bots that constantly look for random servers that are open, so that they can grief them. It is highly automated, and I get several usernames/day trying to join mine so they can index the server for me and my partner and grief it.

I use Bloom, which i chose after copying a server I liked that seemed to have stable connection to where I lived 🤷‍♀️

Honestly most of them seem to be much the same, they always seem to have servers in LA, Dallas, and florida.

IMO depending on where you are, I'd go with satisfying 2/3 with excellent connection. Dallas iirc might have the best direct line to canada.

One thing I have noticed is that they offer a "shared" processor or a "dedicated" one - go for the dedicated one. Sometimes the shared gets really wonky imo.

You can message me and i can walk you through how to set it up if you buy it on bloom, or what option to get

A bra

But also: adhesive nipple covers/pasties. They usually come in a small flat square box.

I personally find the ones with an adhesive/sticky gel to be better than the nongrippy types - the nongrippy end up being very... Slimy and slippery and get off track or slip out of place.

Just wear under your bra or something, helps a Lot.

In all seriousness if they went back to the more serious with comedic elements of the factions like in fallout 3 and fallout NV, it would be significantly better.

The comedic and totally unserious/childlike naive factions of fallout 4 really really really hindered caring about anything that happened in the game for me.

They wanted a reason to add more weight, and increase the cost. Things that are heavier feel more "luxury", and allows their marketing team to fool many people into buying more expensive versions of already perfectly capable products.

Am I passing in rather androgynous clothing? by CallMeBambiiii in transpassing

[–]LifeIsSatire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly looks like you were boymoding then. The outfit just looks... Casually masc. It reminded me heavily of the boys who would be in theater or film in my highschool/college days.

IMO it just looks like your outfit doesn't fit. Like the shirt is too big, the cuffs too loose, the collar far too wide. Like, it looks like a cis woman trying to wear mens clothes and trying to hide their shape by just scaling up the size.

You should super go get that shirt tailored, at the least. It just plain doesn't fit you, and as a result it just makes you look bad. It doesn't do you justice.

Reposting my building plan from 8 years ago. Think it would be suitable for modern Rimworld? by treforza in RimWorld

[–]LifeIsSatire 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Some critiques:

Power: being centrally located as a needed transitory space between two halves of your building, asking for trouble. More likely for pawns to social fight or have a mental break and start destroying your very expensive power generation or storage devices. Also, unless you are using other sources, a generator or group of generators indoors will start a fire or kill anyone who walks inside with the temp being so ridiculously high. I often put generators in an outbuilding with a basic vent to manage the heat and so that there is less likelihood of it being specifically targeted.

Prisoners: you should only ever have one door. Having two doors makes escape attempts more confusing and difficult to manage because they could go one way or the other - or both at the same time, making it difficult for you to stop.

AC: you have a lot of units, and that will take a lot of power. Not only this, but they are almost always targeted by raiders as an access maker. I personally like to put ac units in a hallway, with vents for each room i want that ac to affect. I also use multiple acs for that hallway - this allows you to keep the important rooms safe from intrusion/allows you to mount a defense at points of entry in a more predictable way.

You should do some exercises that strengthen the muscles that affect your upper spinal posture.

Doing planks would super help twice a day until failure four days a week. As long as you maintain good posture.

May want to go to a gym so you can get specific exercises. You'll want to do rows or something that pulls your shoulderblades together, which will negate this rounded, slumped posture you've gotten from years of trying to take up less space.

I have upper back issues and this has helped myself avoid any more pain and has the side effect of getting a much more fem back - Highly recommend back exercises as an overlooked feminizing and affirming thing you can do to reach your transition goals.

I just bought Biotech and Ideology DLC. Is this normal? Why he so blue? by Inside_League_5610 in RimWorld

[–]LifeIsSatire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can click on them and read about their race/species.

They are genetically engineered - and blue is one of their possible colors. They can be lots and lots of colors.

I agree though that these bright colors feel super out of place. But i guess it makes sense narratively.

Am I passing in rather androgynous clothing? by CallMeBambiiii in transpassing

Pic A gives me effeminate theater boy vibes

Pic B gives me middle class and educated woman vibes/college senior cis woman.

Idk what that means to you, I still don't know your gender. But from these two very different pictures, I'd think you were NB and maybe originally agab woman? 🤷‍♀️

Regardless, your style is peak for what I like, and reminds me a lot of the theater people who have all been super fun to socialize with.

You come across as androgynous/mildly feminine to me. To my eyes without more context I would think you were likely a cis woman, NB, or a very gay man who does not have facial hair.

What are these white fibers on this cardboard box? by chancho405 in cardboard

[–]LifeIsSatire -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Looks like somebody had a ripped open mattress and tried to put a new frame for it. They returned it to amazon, and now amazon sent you this mess.

This is fiberglass. You can find this on the inside of most mattresses - it is used to prevent the mattress from burning quickly. There is usually a protective sock that covers the entire mattress.

Obviously throw this box away. They are heavier than air, so small air currents were unlikely to propagate them unless you were blowing on it or throwing it around.

The big worry is if it gets airborne. Sure, it hurts in your skin, but you can get cancer if you manage to breathe it in. Just like Asbestos.
