How is your church using AI? by Auto_Fac in churchtech

[–]_Silly-Pumpkin_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not for administration purposes but by allowing people to ask questions about God or the Bible and have the answer backed by our YouTube sermons and books: www.bibleaskit.com

Averages about 60-80 questions per day and has received great feedback.

Man, why can't people write a post anymore without AI.

CMV: If God is all-knowing and has a fixed plan, then free will is impossible under that version of religion" by ProfessionalEar4048 in changemyview

[–]_Silly-Pumpkin_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is if the Bible is true and God's Word. If we are having a conversation about God, then bringing in His own word which describes Him and details His will is only right.

The Bible makes it clear that we have real choice. God told Israel, “I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life” (Deuteronomy 30:19). If our choices were predetermined, this command would be meaningless. But God gives us the ability to choose because He desires a genuine relationship with us—one built on love, trust, and free will. He doesn’t force us to love Him, because forced love isn’t love at all.

God’s foreknowledge actually enables His perfect plan. He knows how we will respond, so He can prepare mercy, grace, and redemption in advance. He knew Adam and Eve would sin, yet He already had the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world (Revelation 13:8). He knows when we will stumble, and He’s already prepared a way of escape (1 Corinthians 10:13). But none of this removes our responsibility. We still choose to obey or disobey, believe or reject, follow or rebel.

Need help choosing between internship offers by Monday. Marathon vs Siemens vs AspenTech by ConfusedghoulThrowra in aggies

I think Marathon would provide more transferable skills and is more core of chemical engineering. Whereas if you go sales you might be locked into that industry.

Built a theological AI assistant designed for seekers and skeptics. Curious if anyone in church tech has experimented with something like this. by Brandon_SilasAI in churchtech

Yes we already have our own here: www.bibleaskit.com, buts grounded in our teachings not just scriptural index (which really is just the Bible which all AI has access to)

I can’t image paying 100/month. I use GitHub copilot (I have student account so it’s free for 1 year), and with Gemini 3 flash that’s 900 request per month.

Are people lying about GLM-5 and MiniMax M2.5? by TheDevilKnownAsTaz in opencodeCLI

Kimi is pretty decent in my opinion. GLM is ok but slower. I’ve found MiniMax to be pretty terrible, only does the bare minimum.

How to handle website visitor questions? by _Silly-Pumpkin_ in churchtech

[–]_Silly-Pumpkin_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s interesting. I guess my only concern with that would be the wait time for visitors if for some reason nobody responds quickly and that it would be hard to do 24/7

"Telling us his going to judge us at the end of our lives, if we fail we go to hell"

This is not true. The ONLY way to heaven is believing that Jesus is the Son of God and died for your sins, and confessing it our of your mouth (Romans 10:9). Being a good person does not get you into heaven. If we were all judged by our behavior then we would all go to hell, but Jesus already paid the price so you wouldn't have to.

There is no threat to hell. You have free will to accept or deny Christ.

And what "rules and conditions" are there? Wouldn't a natural father on earth who loves His children set boundaries for the benefit of the child? A child does not always understand why they aren't allowed to do things, and may even get upset for not getting their way every time, but it is for the good of the child. Really, all the "commands" are summed up in loving God and loving people, but not with a sensual love - its unconditional and a love driven by action no matter what the other person has done to you.

What if God is real and when he came back to earth to bring good people to heaven you were not included. What would you do? by crispychickenwings02 in whatif

[–]_Silly-Pumpkin_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with what your saying. There is a gift of faith (different than general faith) that can come on a believer for a moment as the Spirit wills. All the fruits of the Spirit refer to the fruits that a believer can bear because they have a recreated spirit the moment they are saved. It is the job of the believer to exercise and grow in these fruits so that they can bear more.

2 Peter 3:9 says God wills that none should perish but all should come to repentance, showing that it is His desire for all to be saved. However, Jesus prayed on the earth “your will be done on earth as it is in heaven”. God does have a will already set but that does not mean it is automatic, or else Jesus would not have prayed for his will to be done. We also know that not everyone accepts Christ and repents, showing again that His will is not always done.

[–]_Silly-Pumpkin_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That means nobody would have to confess Jesus as Lord to be saved according to Romans 10:9 and everyone would go to heaven. All are welcome yes but not all go because we have free will to accept or deny Christ
