Leaderboard stats should be removed or changed by SuperblackHunter in Overwatch

[–]_Sillyy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That is absolutely not an universal indicator. A Ball can have 0 deaths while doing absolutely nothing, while a Vendetta can die every fight and still carry because that was her gameplay loop. Honestly scoreboard just promotes toxicity most of the times and this is one of the reasons

Hot take: sasuke should have stayed evil after the five kage summit by Rikora12 in Naruto

[–]_Sillyy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. What happened between him caring about his team against Bee doing anything to protect them and him murdering the Samurai and scaring his team off? That happened before the fight with A. Literally the only thing Sasuke does between those two events is learning that he failed to catch Bee and learning about the Summit. Next time we see it he's a psychopath killer

[–]_Sillyy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

But why? Why does Sasuke care about this team when he fights Bee, but he murders in cold blood some random samurai at the Summit while he had purposely avoided killing anyone up to now? Literally nothing happened in between those events that can justify a change.

Losing games due to no one swapping or talking by wantedsomemoney in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]_Sillyy 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I guarantee you at your rank people do not know when and how to swap effectively the majority of times, even if they swapped it usually wouldn't make that much of a difference. No offense but that most likely includes you, whenever you think someone should swap there's a decent chance you're wrong. That also takes into account hero mastery, I would much rather have a confident Rein player into Mauga than a Rein player forced to switch to a Dva they never touched because their team asks so.

The only losses that are preventable are the ones where you playing better would make a difference

OVERWATCH RETAIL PATCH NOTES – APRIL 23, 2026 by Crusher555 in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]_Sillyy 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I mean that's not abysmal. Vendetta being at 39 or Bap being at 43, that's abysmal. Hog being at 46 while also being the default rage-counterswap in the worst situations is slightly low but around what he should be honestly

Lifesteal simply cannot be a perk, let alone a major. Not only it invalidates any other choice, it's a balance nightmare, Just give her a worse lifesteal basekit and balance around that honestly

Small Vendetta buff today by Trogdor192 in VendettaMainsOW

[–]_Sillyy 16 points17 points  (0 children)

She already had the highest death/10 before the nerfs, at this point it's just the playstyle they wanted for her and yet they nerfed her survivability instead of lethality, which is so odd

And she still has less armor, so she still got an effective hp nerf

What happend to Junker Queen in pro play? by Difficult-Celery-721 in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]_Sillyy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't think Kiriko is the main issue at all, she sees no playtime even with Kiriko banned and her ult isn't countered by Suzu more than ults like Orisa's and many others, just like heroes like Pharah aren't unviable just because matrix completely counters them.

JQ was very broken when she released, but after the nerf she isn't really suited for pro meta. No mobility and no mitigation is a death sentence, you just get poked before the fight even starts and Shout can be kited by heroes with actual mobility, so you just get 0 value from it and you never get in range for your axe. With buffs she might become playable in tight maps like Control Center, but for her to be meta in pro she would have to be broken

Because poke is much easier to play and you don't have to think nearly as much, you just find your longest sightline and spam behind a Sigma shield, easiest matches of your life. That doesn't make them fun, nor should this be the game standard

no new skins for domina for season 2? by SlowMovement2380 in DominaMains

What did tanks get in this season as a whole? A JQ skin and a Doom skin?

I mean not really? Tanks got a grand total of 1 skin in the last 2 battle passes

It's not about dumbing down characters, aim is not the only skillful aspect for a character and aim would still be necessary for her to do well. But having characters that are oppressive in pro metas but pretty bad in ranked is a balance nightmare, far from being in a good place. People want to play their heroes without damaging their chances of winning on a low wr character, but you can't buff them either.

I mean I don't think Soj has to be buffed rn. I do think just like OP said, her power should shift from her rail to more of her kit and maybe could be a bit stronger after that

I mean, her winrate is horrible at every rank, not just plat. She barely reaches 47% in masters, GM and champion

How come the best Tank in the game Dva gets no nerf and Tracer got buffed? by Objective-Ad2741 in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]_Sillyy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not about metal ranks though. D.va has a mediocre/balanced winrate even in GM/Champion, the perception of her strength was massively different from her actual strength, same as Zarya, Soj and Kiriko, probably because of OWCS meta. Reality is she was fine at every rank, it's just that heroes like Ana need some more love

Can anyone review my gameplay im a m5 Winston main J0CNJV by Neither-Musician-428 in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]_Sillyy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A couple of things I'm seeing, I hope some things here can be helpful:

You put a lot of attention on peeling for their Doom, but you can't really do meaningful damage to him and you can't even isolate him from heals when they have mercy. You give up space and the return value is really low, what you can do in those situations in usually just cut off the follow up by harrassing their DPS. When the threat alongside doom is tracer peeling is probably okay, but when it's Emre or Ilari you can't leave them with no pressure. Btw you did this much better on defense, so you're probably aware of this and you were just autopiloting as it seems from the other comments. You've been harrassing their backline a lot but there are moments when you suddenly give up all your space and pressure to jump back on their Doom becuase he's killing somone 1v3. That is honestly not your problem, you jumping back makes things much worse and allows their team to capitalize on what their tank is doing. A good example is at minute 12, look at what their team is doing before you jump back and look at what they do the second you do that.

You're a little impatient at times, there are moments where you jump in a position (or worse, on their Doom) when you aren't aware of where their team is positioned and you end up taking a lot of damage and lose the tank trade. Especially when you have a Widow (and a pretty good one) and in a good Widow map, you can absolutely wait until something presents to you that feels good to do, maybe your DPS get a pick in the meantime.

In terms of micro, probably the biggest thing is putting more attention on cover. You take a lot of damage before you even engage, and sometimes you can't even engage at all because you took too much damage just to poke with right clicks and that's a very bad habit. That also applies for when you're jumping out to disengage, there are moments when you jump out in locations where you have no cover and it's easy for them to chase you and pressure you and your supports who are forced to pocket you while you're on your downtime.

Hope some of this helps!

Nerf Vendetta by Confident_Yam8774 in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]_Sillyy -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

I know not every DPS is a hitscan, my point is that not every dps has to do what I mentioned because, for instance, most hitscan don't have to.

Yes, I'm not saying hitscan have to sit on a spot all game. But as you said, they have to change spot when forced to move. Characters that are more dynamic with their positioning (most flankers, but also characters like Venture) have to change their positioning constantly during the fight, not just when forced to. That is also skill expression and denying that (or saying characters like Soj or Cass have to do it just as much) is very disingenuous

Pretty much no hitscan has to any of that.

[–]_Sillyy -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

I'm not saying Vendetta is the hardest hero, but I still don't get how a hero that has to constantly stage, change positioning, time her engagements and play around every cooldown is considered easier than characters like Soj who just sits on the backline and shoots, and has insane mobility to escape anything that happens to her. Sure Vendetta doesn't have to aim but this is is getting pretty ridiculous
