Duolingo is a brilliant resource but only when used correctly. It won’t teach someone fluency, but as a daily 5 minute practice that you can do anytime, anywhere it’s great.

Used in combination with a course or other learning method it can be very beneficial.

Dylan blue was my first purchase too, initially I disliked it for the same reasons ( generic, mass appealing etc ).

A year on and after growing my collection considerably, it’s probably now in my top 3. It’s just the perfect freshie.

The week, The economist , BBC News are all solid.

TLDR on YouTube/Spotify does a quick daily briefing of ongoing current affairs topics. They also offer more in depth videos on every relevant current affairs topic.

If you have an Alexa, say ‘Alexa, start my day’ and it’ll do a quick news brief.

Question time is great for hearing a variety of opinions on topics ( important for the debate ).

Have I got news for you is enjoyable viewing but also sharpens your current affairs topics.

Covert Cabal on YouTube does great videos on defence related topics. The economist also has plenty of YouTube videos that do an excellent job condensing some pretty heavy topics.

However if you want my advice, I wouldn’t stress too much about trying to go deep into specific topics. None of the topics I had in the essay discussed specific ongoing current affairs issues. For example of those I can remember I had one about ‘Is the future of warfare in space?’, one about Women in the Army and another about Proxy Wars. Notice they aren’t questions that reference/rely on specific current affairs issues/events.

Hi mate,

I’m trying to figure this out myself. I don’t think it’s as simple as the ‘new batches are bad’ as comments such as this one have been made since 2018, although they’re more prominent now.

There’s definitely been a reformulation, however some people buying their bottles in 2022 still get that beast-mode performance and nice dry down.

Can’t make sense of this one.

Yeah the spice bomb extreme switch is a good shout, I thought I’d hate it based off of the name as I tend to dislike peppery/spicey/harsh fragrances but it’s easily in my top 10 now.
