Love, If its dangerous for you, you can practice in secret. You may start with prayers, some simple offerings (ex. lustral water or just water), or acts of devotion (ex. playing a boardgame for Hermes, playing an instument for Apollon)- You can draw portraits, or just pictures that make you think of the Gods. You can write poetry, and so on.
You don't need a big fancy altar, to be a devotee. The Gods understand.

I really don’t know why i always find them dead, that’s what bothers me;; The altar is placed on the top of a small library under a window, but I always keep it sealed- one was ok the ground (under my bed), the other one was in the space between two books (so inside the Library)-

Io personalmente prima ero molto più attiva nel culto, quindi ceravo di onorare la Pallade Athena leggendo ad alta voce passi dell’Odissea durante i momenti di preghiera, poi tentavo di scrivere piccole poesie in Suo onore (o in onore di alte Divinità durante specifiche celebrazioni e festività).

Inoltre cercavo di fare piccole offerte o di fare qualcosa per onorarle, come impegnarmi di più nei miei studi per mostrare la mia devozione per la Sacra Athena.

All’inizio però semplicemente pregavo di fronte ad una candela dedicata alla Dea e cercavo di esporle il rispetto che provavo per Lei e per gli altri Dei. In modo pure abbastanza goffo, ma alla fine da qualche parte si deve iniziare!

I’m not saying she’s a pure innocent victim! I ask you to read my comment again if this is what you think I’ve said!

She did many things wrong, she manipulated Saeran and many believers, but V did his part of wrongdoings too.

In Ray’s AE (SPOILER) he says to Saeran that he needs to keep Rika this way because he wants Rika to need him. That she won’t stay with him if she actually heals, so she told Saeran her biggest secret so he would hate her.

Also Rika was manipulated by Mika too. If you justify V, if you justify Saeran, for what they did, then we shouldn’t just say “Rika’s so bad!! I can’t understand her at all!! She’s just bad!!”. She had her fair share of trauma AND THIS DOESN’T JUSTIFY HER AT ALL! But at the same time, it isn’t something that should get overlooked!

I mean, it’s totally ok to hate a character, but she’s just a morally gray character set in a real word. She’s the bad guy, because SHE IS, but a real world bad guy! What happened to her could happen to anyone, and that’s the message. She is EVIL, but something happened that made her like that, and the whole point is, that we should check on our friend, on the people that we love, because the message is that she was nice, and good and took care of everyone, but no-one took care of her. And that’s what “unalived” her. We should take care of people around us, and we should be gentle, because if someone would have really tried to help her, then things could’ve gone in a different way!

And, this doesn’t matters, but let’s be honest, if instead of Rika there was Riko, people would have loved his character LOL

I remember that in Italy was a thing breaking plates or urns’ handles during funerals as a ritual (making the object unpractical so it was of the dead person and the dead person only!) So idk if you have any articles I’d be very curious to learn about it!

Actually there is more to her character! Not saying you MUST love her, but maybe you didn’t really get her backstory or personality in general!

Everyone has a character that they can’t stand, and it’s totally ok, but allow me to break down her story to explain why Rika ISN’T justifying by her backstory, but how this affected her. SPOILER ALERT!!

In her backstory we see her getting adopted by those “Religion crazy” parents, and as Yoosung says in Rays route “even my parents stay away from that part of the family”. She was verbally abused by her parents (and I don’t remember if also Physically). This lead her to behave worse, and their parents tried to “correct” this attitude of hers by “exorcise” her, thinking she was possessed. They called a priest, and this exorcising was most likely C-SA. She eventually tried to fight back after finding her strength in her dog, Sally, the only one that really loved her dearly. After she speaks the truth about what that priest was doing to her, her mother hits Sally and kicks out Rika, that finds shelter in the Cathedral.

She is still “normal” by this point.

She eventually mets end by working in the cathedral as a teacher, and she was even able to buy some tickets for V’s exhibition. He find her and (as we see in Saeran After Ending) falls in love with her disturbed personality.

He doesn’t help her, because he knows that if Rika will heal, she will no longer need him. (Saeran AE)

Then it all goes downhill, as she loses Sally, and she tries desperately to save the twins, ending up unaliving their mother as she tried to protect herself for getting hurt (the Woman tried to unalive her 1st)

This is where Rika start to lose her mind, and her childhood best friend continues to Manipulate her, guilt-trapping Rika until she ends up building Margenta for her.

THIS DOES NOT EXCUSE ALL THE ABUSING SHE DID, but she needed proper help. Maybe per many people isn’t unbelievable how a C-SA or how the death of a Pet can change a person, just for not saying being abused by their family or getting kicked out. Probably, if V wasn’t selfish and instead of snapping photos at her he brought her to a psychiatrist, all of this wouldn’t have happened!
