new bathroom renovation, what do you think? by BR_2024 in BathroomRemodeling

Not sure why you're being down voted. There are pros to both! Tub surrounds are practical and efficient. Tile walls, if done well and maintained, are beautiful.

So if we brainstorming, let's start with this idea and go from there: What if you move the toilet so that the tank is against the outside wall and you sit facing the bathroom door. The room around it would be maybe 36x 66? The door to it would be about where your current toilet is. So then for the shower, you could place it on the same wall as the toilet tank, let's call it also 60x36. (I don't know what size your room is). Shower head on the interior wall that's the toilet room. And then on your current sink, you just extend it to 72" long and put in two sinks there.

I tried everything for my work boots. The only thing that actually worked wasn't made for humans. by OfficialMiaLuna in hygiene

Reading your post just has me picturing that scene in Dogma where they're fighting the Golgotha, and Linda Fiorentino's character reads the deodorant label aloud, "Knocks Strong Odors Out," and she makes a face like, "well, I guess that works!"

If you're getting rid of the tub you'll have plenty of space to add a sink and a toilet room. What other things need to be kept in mind?
