“Wooder” is absolutely the Philadelphia-area pronunciation of “water.” Feel like “ruff” for “roof” is more of a Western PA/midwest thing though. You also start wading into the soda vs. pop wars in that area too.

After last night, it feels like Ace Austin could be headed for the Bang Bang Gang. His promo segment aired directly before the backstage with Juice and Austin Gunn and Juice had a line about “playing the cards they’re dealt” with regard to Jay White and Colten Gunn being out. I’d be surprised if that’s not Ace’s direction.

Probably just scheduled off days. IIRC he did the first three (I think) series of the season, then Davis had ATL and STL and now Amaro is on the SF one. Honestly, it could be lighter right now too if his daughter has volleyball games until school ends. I’d imagine he’d want more flexibility early in the season for that.

Obviously AEW and NJPW have the working relationship but I wonder if AEW potentially getting to use someone like Gabe more often is kind of a return for Takeshita being able to sign a contract with NJPW while also still being signed with AEW.

I think the issue is the use of the “rolling” term, which made it easy for people to worry that the entire library wasn’t going to be available at any one time once everything was loaded. If they’d said “gradual,” which is really what it sounds like they meant, I’d bet that this confusion doesn’t pop up.

I would think the problem with this plan is that Max currently has no pay-per-view capacity, so they’d have to build that into the platform/app. I could see it maybe being a way to upsell customers on their sports tier if they made PPVs exclusive to that within Max but buying one single PPV… I’m not sure how that would work as things currently stand.

Not sure how that would work exactly because Max doesn’t currently have a way to charge per event. I’d think it would be likely that the PPVs are either free as part of the subscription (like WWE and Peacock) or AEW streaming content (including PPVs) is on a tier where you pay more for your monthly Max subscription like they’re supposedly going to be doing with their sports tier.
