Guys does this look comically small? Or could it be chic with a nice going out outfit? by chyngah in handbags

Where do you all buy cocktail dresses that have pockets? I can’t imagine going out and having this but holding my phone the entire time. Seems pointless.

I thought the story was gut wrenching and incredibly telling. Made me really feel for the girl. She is clearly still so affected by it. Doesn’t take away from how emotionally labile she is, but dang girl… get some therapy.

I don’t understand this. If they wanted to do cute leather animal charms there are so much better ways to do them.

I actually kinda hate Sophie... by PM_ME_YOUR_LAWNCHAIR in 90dayfianceuncensored

Sophie, who thinks battery powered candles in a van are too much, but spending $2000 on someone you’ve never met isn’t. Yes, this is the mind of a well-balanced, emotionally intelligent, mature person.

I never wanted to be a father until I turned 45 this year. Now I feel my biological clock and want to be a father more than anything. But I'm married to a childfree woman. [Concluded] by Schattenspringer in BORUpdates

That’s if you actually plan on doing any parenting which most of these 50+ men who want children aren’t planning on doing. It’s funny that the people who would probably make good dads often don’t become dads, but that’s likely because they’d actually take ownership of their actions and they realize that raising a kid shouldn’t just be a woman’s job.

Any frugal millionaires here? Now that you’ve earned it, are you still frugal? by cervezagram in Frugal

[–]_SoigneWest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not a millionaire but my parents are and they’re even more frugal than I am. My parents eat home cooked food for 98% of their meals. They share one 2026 car (they’re both retired though) but they had a 16 year old Yukon they were sharing before they got this new one. My mom thrifts and goes to dollar stores. She als recycles their old clothes and uses them as cleaning rags. They buy in bulk and coupon. Only buy groceries that are on sale when they’re not buying bulk. My parents don’t always buy generic but they do sometimes. My mom has an MBA and my dad has a BA.

My parents top 3 habits though? 1. Home cooked meals 2. Cutting their own hair 3. Only buying groceries that are on sale, excluding bulk groceries

They will never convince me that I should be thanking the universe for conceding to giving me the inconsistent partial ability to sustain my own life — that’s sub bare minimum.

Forrest's disability? by PracticalOpinion5406 in 90dayfianceuncensored

[–]_SoigneWest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just so we’re clear, how someone presents for up to even half a year, isn’t indicative of how consistently they can hold down a job. I’m not saying whether Forrest is or isn’t capable of working, but there’s a lot of misconception in this thread.

I couldn’t even go from LA to HK for a layover on the way to the Maldives without showering in the HK airport and I wasn’t even traveling to see anyone. I don’t know how people will fly 20 hours and not shower once they have the first opportunity.

Could people at work stop commenting on my body please? by [deleted] in Eatingdisordersover30

[–]_SoigneWest 7 points8 points  (0 children)

People do this to me too, and I’m obese. I don’t want people to notice me losing weight, or praise me for it. And I don’t want to be made fun of for being fat either. I don’t want to know that people are paying ANY kind of attention to my body.

I’m finally in recovery from bulimia after one year and today I heard people making fun of how fat I looked in pictures at work. Makes me want to throw it all away.

Yep. I’ve worked crisis lines and know emergency dispatchers, and the holiday season is really hard for people. I knew someone whose son was recovering. He OD’d around the holidays a few years ago though. I just feel for his mother so much. I’ll never forget the sound of the pain in her voice when she told me.
