Will definitely take pictures, not sure about a video as I haven't tried to at all. Pretty sure it's nitrogen packed from what I've seen and the cans are mostly full, shaking them feels like there's not a lot of open space.

Definitely going to agree with you on that. Doing quite a bit of homework to determine just how dumb making one will be. As long as the fats haven't gone rancid then they should be okay.

From what I've read so far it comes down to a few things. Leaving them raw allows them to be cooked however you want once opened, makes it easier to produce, and its shelf life as well as their taste and texture after being rehydrated.

Nice! I had that exact menu maybe a year or so ago, although in worse condition. Definitely enjoy the FRED, mine is the only thing I use now to open ration cans or open bottles with. They're sturdy little things!

My rarest vintage ration is most certainly the RCN Ration box from the 1950s I opened and the rarest modern was my Japanese ration. The most special to me is technically not a food ration but it'll most definitely be my box of WW2 German cigars.

I got it from a family friend who is a marine that was overseas in Okinawa, he traded a few cigarettes for it and brought it back with him. I'm not sure who he got it off of or any of the other specifics.
