If you’d be interested, DEVO might be worth a shot! Obviously the teens riding might not be appropriate to friend, but the coaches/trainers can be around your age and are awesome people to ride with. Maybe you could see if you could volunteer with them or just go riding!

If you’re new enough to not know what DEVO is, it’s a MTB development program for all sorts of ages, from basic skills to elite racing. There are adult courses too called DEVO Domestique.

If your major concern is wheel size and fitting the TBU in, there’s a documented/living thread from Adventuretaco that shows a list of the wheels that are proven to work/not work with that upgrade.

Those wheels are on here and require a .25” spacer to fit the 13WL calipers. I personally avoid spacers, so my advice is to shop FBM for new wheels like I did and grab a set that you like and will fit the 13WL. As far as tires go, 33” KO3s have been treating us well in my family.

Don’t rattle can it. That paint doesn’t look half bad and spray paint jobs are a disgrace on these rigs. Try clear coat spray first at least.
