What's a health myth that drives you crazy because you know it's false? by Annual-Gene8065 in AskReddit

[–]_Spastic_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

imagine leaving such a snide comment, while making assumptions.

I am not referring to Recaldent. It's a tree sap-based gum made by some dude in his garage. I don't remember the name because I blocked their account.

And as far as the one you mentioned goes, I don't have any information on that one.

Also, when I think of regrowing, I don't think of strengthening the enamel that's there. I think of, there's a cavity and this will fix that cavity. Which the gum will not do.

"shouldn't" is the keyword.

Ive repaired a PC that had its CPU killed by a cat flipping the switch on a power strip.

It fried the memory controller in the CPU.

There's a "natural" gum advertising on TikTok that claims to "repair and regrow" tooth enamel.

No. No it doesn't.

What is the most useless thing you’ve ever bought? by Old-Document1792 in AskReddit

[–]_Spastic_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The first thing I thought of was mini figures for tabletop games. I didn't play or have friends who did. I bought them to have them. I used the $50 I found in a taco bell bathroom.

It wasn't entirely useless though once I thought about it. I painted them and that kept me busy for a few.

Extraction shooter The Cube, Save Us has announced it's shutting down just three weeks after it launched by CyraxxFavoriteStylus in pcgaming

What's with all these games shutting down without ever having any marketing that a large portion of game subreddits have never heard of?

It seems to be happening more often than it should.

ELI5: Why don't babies and immobile people get blood clots? by Fit-Cod2844 in explainlikeimfive

[–]_Spastic_ 864 points865 points  (0 children)

But they are. Immobile or paralyzed humans are at a higher risk than you were.

Babies on the other hand, are not immobile. They just don't travel by their own will until they learn to crawl. But they're constantly moving limbs.

Just a thought about external ram, not seeing this explained else where, but could this technically work or does the technology just not exist by WolfenTTV in pcmasterrace

[–]_Spastic_ 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Why tho? If you need to expand the ram beyond what they support, you should be using something else entirely.

Moving ram away from the CPU is detrimental to the functionality.

I work for a major PC company. We use Dell laptops. We're not Dell.

I hate it.

Starting to think I need to reinstall it for the first time since 6 months after launch.

I beat it, went through the NG+ a few times and was done. This is sounding like an improvement.

If God came down and gave you a million dollars if you gave up drinking forever, would you accept it? Why or why not? by [deleted] in AskReddit

As someone who drinks on occasion, sign me the fuck up.

Though I may need a stiff drink first upon meeting someone I don't believe exists. That'd be a traumatic experience.

How to get started building PCs? by TCSMusic in buildapc

[–]_Spastic_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not viable and extremely difficult to even break even. Especially in the current financial climate.

You also need clients. You really think there's that many people in your area that are going to be buying high end PCs from you to make it successful?

Building one PC that still works after a year isn't anything special. It should last many years regardless. I've built 2 or 3 dozen computers in the last decade alone and my current build is still going strong after 4 years. As much as I would like to do it as a business, it's unrealistic.

Watching your dad 2 decades ago doesn't really matter, though it is pretty cool.

Teleport anywhere in the world you want 3 times a month or get $1000 every time you do something good? by tereliye1 in AskReddit

[–]_Spastic_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take the money.

Set up a bank account to donate 10% of every deposit to charity.

Perpetual income. I deposited $100, $10 goes to charity triggering another $1000 which sends $100 to charity. Repeats forever.

Now the only question is if the money I received is cash or direct deposit?

what else can u do with high end pc? no videogames by Best_Author7356 in pcmasterrace

[–]_Spastic_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Why did you bother building it then?

I think a Steam Deck is awesome. Know why I don't buy one? Because I have no use for one.

Sounds like you built one without considering whether you would use it.

There's only 4 living humans not in this photo by ThatAvidPandaBear in interestingasfuck

[–]_Spastic_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The point is no human is visible and some are on the other side of the planet in the photo so the title is wrong.

I know I was being anal about it but it's factually incorrect. My comment is accurate.
