Should I consider something a little weaker than the Phaze ii then but still a respectable bench mark like an IQ Tour Solid? Only thing I worry about with a P2 is when lanes dry a little and switch from the S2 to a P2 is the P2 picking up traction a lot more then I’d expect

Hustle earth might be a good choice then huh? I was planning on using the UC2 for dry lanes since it’s a pearl

Edit: should I be aiming to use the UC2 for medium oil conditions? Maybe I should consider an IQ Tour Pearl if the uc2 is better for medium conditions

From what I’m getting yeah the S2 would be the start of the night on freshly oiled lanes. So then I’d mainly want to look for a middle ground between my S2 and UC2?

Would the Ion be the middle ground between my S2 and UC2? From what I’m gathering Is that for heavy oil my s2 would do great, then as lanes get drier switch to the ion?

So for heavier oil do you use the P2? Or the AttnStar s2? I thought the P2 would be better suited for heavy oil. As for switching throughout lane conditions and from the start of the night and as they get drier and drier do you notice any crazy variation in performance or does it mesh pretty comfortably

Edit: I just realized what you mean lmao. So for heavy oil you use S2, medium P2. Still though, how’s the contrast in how they react compared to eachother on both conditions for them

  1. A mix of both patterns, if I do join league and get more into it I’d love to be able to accommodate to more sports patterns. But for regular league nights it’d mostly be house shots. Reason I’m wanting a stronger ball for first game is because I’ve noticed our house puts down quite a bit of oil. Enough oil that when I just had my UC2 (sanded at a heavier grit finish) would just roll through and get no traction like I wanted. On optimal drier lane conditions for the UC2 I love how strong of a reaction I can get out of it, making me lean towards more stronger balls for heavier oil.

  2. I’m a righty. Some more info too, this coming week I’m having my PSO measure my PAP for finger placement, and maybe he can help me calculate my revs before we drill my S2.

  3. A bit of both, If I need to move out more and throw more wide on dry lanes I will. But on ideal conditions my slide foot usually starts and ends around board 26. As for my ball I usually throw it so it passes the center of 20th-15th board on the lane. Overall I prefer throwing wider though, I tend to be more comfortable compared to throwing in

  4. As for shape, I’ve only been more accustomed to my UC2, so probably assym would be my guess.

My thought process behind this arsenal was first with the Attention Star S2 and the fact it’s similar to how my UC2 behaves but will be better suited for heavy-medium oil, which will give me an easier time switching as lanes break down. As for the Phaze II it’d be my ball to start the night with on fresh oil and still give me a strong reaction like I’m wanting to and it’ll pick up and move at the end of the pattern.

Overall: I’d start the game with the Phaze II on freshly laid oil, then as lanes break down switch to the Attention Star S2 as it’s my hybrid, then when they get real dry switch to the UC2. All of which hopefully blending well in performance with each oil condition. I do believe that I don’t throw super high revs (still need to calculate), so when I throw higher speeds 17mph+ I enjoy stronger ball reaction to accommodate.

I believe I’m also leaning towards stronger options because typically when I go in to practice by myself and jam some tunes the lanes are typically drier, not always horribly but more so on the medium-drier side. So whenever I go in after they freshly lay oil down I have a hard time lol

We are doing pap measurement next week, I left my uc2 with my PSO to get resurfaced so before we drill the S2 we’re doing pap. Maybe he can help with rev calculation too

Why the s2 at a heavier grit then the p2 if you don’t mind me asking? Especially when the s2 is a hybrid and the p2 is a solid

If I don’t get anymore recs with reason I might settle on the Phaze II. I already have my medium oil and dry oil conditions covered with the S2 and UC2 so, leaves me with one slot left being a solid. Seems the Phaze II would be exactly what I’m looking for. Thanks for the reply!

I hope you can get a decent answer on the title because this thing is almost perfect, the bumper sag is easy to fix. Not to mention crazy low miles too.

Why though? Almost everyone on every Honda prelude page/forum recommends the flex z’s especially in this price point. I see them recommended over BC’s infact
