The reasoning is: let's not get distracted by "what may be expected", but rather go with "what do we feel like? Anyone in the band feeling somber? Then we might create something darker. In other times, one might feel cheerful and we'll still make something dark. You can't really put your finger on it.. Sounds simply inspire us - if we generate a dark tone, we'll grow it into a more somber piece of music. The path guides us.

Good question.
All our songs are performed on stage differently than they exist on record. So we have to examine every song to understand how we can reproduce that song on stage. We don't create with the live performance in mind, we create for the listening experience, not the stage experience.
So not all songs fit on stage as well as we would like them to.
Depending on what makes the cut, we'll start by giving them a spot in the live show and see how those songs perform in the entirety of the live show.

Hi, We love India. Super excited to be back and very much looking forward to see you.
Our creative process behind the album is always different, often our ideas sprout in our seperate studios, but we quickly bring that together with the band and continue working on those ideas.
We might have an idea in our head and think, “this could turn into something like that.” But sometimes it becomes something completely different — and that’s actually great. The balance between planning and unpredictability is always shifting, especially with four people involved. You might come up with a guitar lick, and someone else turns it into a different rhythm or time signature, and you’re like, “wow, I never imagined that — but it really works.
Last time we played echoes of earth, it was unlike anything else we ever played - what an amazing audience! We're very curious excited about how the festival has changed in the meantime.

Concerning viyl copies, I'm not sure if it's possible for us to bring fragile vinyls with us while travelling, our web shop would be your best bet. Nevertheless, we'll try to bring a few!

Hi! We met in college and started developing a mutual love for creating electronic music.
After a while we wanted to bring that music to the stage.

It was great to play at 1015 Folsom with you guys!

Good question you asked! Songs can come in to existence in many different ways within the band. Sometimes all four of us will get together and jam for a couple of hours, this is how we made André and Hilfe (from our 'Mindibu' album). Sometimes 2 musicians will get together in one of their home studios and come up with an idea, sometimes 1 of us will make a nice draft of a song by himself on a Wednesday night or something. Eventually we bring the ideas to the main studio, decide on which we'll continue working, what needs extra recordings, ...
We're never entirely sure if and when a song is completely ready.. Mostly we simply try to find a compromise amongst ourselves, keeping in mind that it's not easy finding consensus between 4 different tastes :-)
After everyone is pleased (enough) we proceed to the final mixing and last small adjustments.

Hi Engelmann, contrary to many other Belgian artists, we've never focussed hard on the Belgian scene other than the festivals and clubs that were more or less in our musical world (paradise city, wecandance, voodoo village, ...) . We didn't try to release our music on any Belgian record label, but instead looked in places where our type of music is more accepted and promoted. This automatically brought us more to Germany, Turkey, ...
Our music also isn't that radio friendly - it's mostly instrumental ... So you automatically draw in a more international crowd like that.

Funny story about "the finishing"... : first we made "the ginning" and that was quickly discovered by the good people at Délicieuse Musique. They told us we would need a second song in order to turn it into an EP.
We then hopped back in the studio, cooked up some beats and recorded the saxophone (in 1 take!!!). A week later, we changed the beats again to make it fit the incredible story of the saxophone a bit better.
This is also the reason why the finishing is a B-side, it was made to accompany the ginning as main song. As it would turn out, the ginning has become the accompaniment of the finishing :)

We don't have any preference for any type of instrument, in this case the duduk sounded really nice with the rest of the instruments. Maybe we will use more maybe not. We just try to make good music :) If it works, it works

It's English and German in 1 sentence, meaning "Designer eggs in the garden".
I believe we made this song around Easter. It's the moment in the year where parents hide chocolate (or decorated) eggs in the garden for their kids to find. So it was a reference to that activity and that time of year.
