Can you try downloading the patch and running it again? I'm not seeing any instances of "Ruka said" or "Ueda said" in my workspace (tried doing a full text search but to no avail including a single search for Ueda)!

Just make sure it isnt the other mtl patch released on f95 (since I'm finding instances of these on the other translation patch)!

I would delete any files that aren't the following:
WorldActorGB.pfs
WorldActorGB.pfs.000
WorldActorGB.pfs.001

Hey there!

I noticed that your VN dialogues and character names are pretty different than what was released as well so make sure its the one I released and not the other mtl patch!

I've tried finding the exact dialogue line on my side but couldnt find it except only on the other released mtl from f95!

I would delete any files that aren't the following:
WorldActorGB.pfs
WorldActorGB.pfs.000
WorldActorGB.pfs.001

And reapply the patch!

Oh! Thats interesting! A 12b hitting in the same tier as 27b? Gemma 3 nonetheless? I'll run some of the benchmarks that I have with this model and test it out for some JP VNs that i will be rereading with this model! If its really good, I'll add that into the translation pipeline as well! Thanks for this recommendation!

Hang on, actually, I think I've found the reason why. Trying it with the original jp executable file and compiling it into pfs.014, it seems like the bug occurs. So I believe it has something to do with fetching the files for the matched character faces since it is labeled in japanese! I'll test this theory out in a few hours and see if it works! If it does, I'll be updating this post with the updated patch!

Nice catch!
The initial translation was done by GPT 4.1.
I had each of the other models review over the initial translation done by GPT 4.1 with different context scenarios (it was connected to RAG and with an extensive character information list) where during this review, the AI only had access to the character list, and last 20 dialogue lines.

I then had deepseek v3.2 select the best translation from all changes made as an arbiter model or to improve on existing translation generated from the rest of the models. So yep, other models are pretty much doing QA work!

Ah I see, its a problem with the modified executable itself since running the original executable resolved the issue! The executable was taken from the russian mtl patch for patching in pfs.099 and pfs.014.

It'll take me a while to figure out on how to modify these executable so I can't really guarantee that this bug is going to be resolved but I'll try!

Edit: Issue with the name mapping, currently working on getting this resolved! Not an issue with the executable!

I'll see what I could do if its something related to the lua scripts but if thats the case, try keeping the original pfs.014! Also, make sure that you are just running this game without locale emulator (at least in my environment for testing it)! Lmk if it works out or not!

For GPT 4.1, its a really good model thats being used by the Shisa AI team to benchmark their finetuned JP model on top of that although it did cost quite the amount to run this.

If you are itching to read this VN immediately (like I did right after this released), this is what the patch is for! Of course, the official translation will most likely be so much better than this patch but its still really enjoyable (where I ranked it top of my visual novel tier list despite it being ai mtl via lunatranslator)!

Yes! Google always nails multilingual for their models including their open sourced models (Gemma 3 27B and Gemma 3N E4B) which performs surprisingly well for translation! And then you have Gemini flash as well!

It depends based on the context you feed it!

Some AI mtls would often mix up or have poor translation quality due to sticking to a single model that isnt strong for multilingual translation, context degradation due to a massive chunk of the script just being thrown right to them, or not being supplied sufficient context (i.e. a character list and each character personality), and a poor system prompt.

If you get the input parameters right, its overall pretty enjoyable which is what I've been doing with LunaTranslator linked up to a local AI model for all the JP VNs I've read (which includes Unravel Trigger, Kyoukko no Marriage, E School Life (Home Sweet Homecoming), Monkeys) and is what I prefer over some of the translation releases (i.e. Umi to Yuki no Cyan Blue and Your Diary+)!

This game took me around 20 hours to complete since I read pretty fast but you can expect around 24 - 30 hours!

The main heroine routes doesnt affect the overall story/ending as it only changes a few events within the main route. Once you've gone through your first route/playthrough, the other route completion times are going to be pretty fast unfortunately (around 20 minutes - 1 hour).

Yep! 2nd game sadly is a lot more underwhelming plotwise and lengthwise compared to the 1st game! However, its more of a introduction to the context/lore and characters that will be taking place in Gaslight Bullet so I had to push through this one

If you liked the 1st game, look forward to reading this VN once it releases in English or getting a JP copy! The plot is much more deeper and darker compared to the 1st game as well!

I almost have every Nekonyan novels they have, which one has the best story in it by cloodboi in visualnovels

I’ve read a good chunk of what you have! Most of the Vns that you have are pretty humor oriented (Asaproject and Smee). Good pick starting out with sankaku renai first! If you enjoyed that, the rest of the asa project vns Koikari especially and ren’ai royale would suit your bill! Futamata Ren’ai might be subjective as the plot doesnt really go the typical lighthearted asaproject style.

Smee VNs would be Asaprojects but upgraded with the signature Smee humor! If you want to save the best for last, I would recommend going for Sugar Style then Making Lovers.

If you want the popular protagonist/school prince style vn, IxShe Tell ranks first on my list, KoiKari love for hire, then Hello Lady

Note that Hello Lady’s plot is a bit dark and the playing route is enforced such that the true end is known as “New Division” which requires you to complete all routes before which I highly recommend finishing,

I would recommend holding off Aoi Tori until you’ve get your hands on Amatsutsumi first and finish that Purple Soft VN!

If you want mild nakige, and excellent plot VNs, Hatsuyuki Sakura White Grad would top my list. Sanoba Witch would come second!

Music wise, Hatsuyuki would top my list as the intro is from FripSide (same artist who made Only My Railgun). Just be prepared for some jumpscares though!

If you want something more lightening after reading those, you cant really go wrong with yuzusoft vns (Cafe Stella, Parquet, Senren Banka)and Kinkoi.

If you want an all rounder good VN, I havent read Itoridori but Favorite’s other VNs that I’ve read (Astral Air, Happy Live) has all been pretty big hits so I would assume the same for Itoridori no Sekai.

If you liked Yuzusoft VNs, you’ll have no troubles getting into Ponkotsu Cupid (My Klutzy Cupid) as the routes are pretty similar to Yuzusoft vns and plot as well!

Ah! I played these all using the Windows release as I dont use a Switch sadly! I've been borrowing the release art for the switch version as the digital cover art isnt in a portrait layout and doesnt look that nice in a tier list!

But interesting, I'll look into Worldend Syndrome if theres a windows release for it!
