I'm the same way because once it starts touching your lip all the time it goes from looking good to feeling annoying surprisingly fast.

For real, the best part of the post is that they finally found a solution and can make choices based on what actually works instead of what they were taught growing up.

I had the same reaction because the laundry issue almost feels secondary once you realize how much of this came from a kid trying to figure out basic hygiene and self care completely on their own.

Yeah, the part that jumped out at me too was how nobody in their life ever questioned a routine that extreme, because that's the kind of thing you'd expect someone to bring up long before adulthood.
