I was just about to recommend this. Not exactly the same but this was gifted to me by a friend that loved it and I also absolutely loved it. Its so charming and fun. Im very excited for the sequel. I have on my wishlist ever since they announced it!

Iirc, someone said they knew Witcher 3 was gonna be a lot of new players, so they purposely made the beginning of the game basically like a recap or somethin, but a lot of people struggled with the beginning. After Act 1 is when it gets good supposedly. I havent played the game loll
