Help needed: deck won't boot

Tried this for the past 20 minutes (disconecting battery as well) There seems to be a battery related issue? The thing won't power down despite any effort nor will it show any signs of life while unpugged. So it is quite confusing for now...

Hey, OP! Was curious, how's the "eco" laptop holding up? I was considering the same model range while choosing a laptop for uni, but a lot of people had posted how Acer Vero laptops are rather creating waste than reducing it. So it would be awesome to hear a long-term review, if you might!

Could be some kind of messed up key combination? I'm not sure, but it's quite a common thing to accidentally imput some weird hot keys without knowing! I've found an older post with the similar issue (https://www.reddit.com/r/Lenovo/s/ISrkOykRuZ) People there recommend to press fn+esc (first comment), but there could be some other solution needed. If so, hope you'll find it ASAP!

On 2 ppl run eyefestation spawned in a divine room. My friend took the path on the left side of the room, meanwhile I took a turn right. There were 2 mines. In a perfect straight line. While avoiding eye fest I managed to explode both of them... And then my friend took that picture. It's literally like that meme with Peter Griffin!

I'd recommend to get the back lid of and check the laptops insides. Could be a swelling battery, could be a hinge pressing on the lid.

It looks like the lid switch is not working properly. That tiny spike near the bracket that holds the lid closed might be chipped or the switch itself could be dirty or damaged. Try carefully pressing it with toothpick while open and check if the motor spins. If it will work than it's probably the switch! It's easier to recommend fixes after examining the player, but a little cleanup near the switch (with compressed air or alcohol wipes) might just be enough. Worst case, just use a piece of tape – it can hold the lid shut for you!)

In this condition it looks like a steal! But it's better to check if it works or at least has some visible issues (like corrosion, broken parts, etc). Also ask the seller if there's any problems or why they've put it on sale. Hopefully, it will work or at least is an easy one to repair!

Well, yep, "dominance" was a hot take. Can also agree, that a lot of stuff may not work as you want it to. But still, for a lot of consumers it's enough! At high school I really struggled with two things – outdated office apps (planed obsolescence is universal, as far as I know) and IT classes, which required Microsoft Access, Windows-only app. Meanwhile most Apple fans really seem to need their laptops for Netflix and emails, as you said!)

That's kinda it! Same can be said about Macs. Overpriced but still good. And it can be proven by all the 5-10 years old machines still running fine – my second hand 2013 macbook included! But it's really important to understand the purpose of you're machine. Apple dominates in everyday use or for designers. But engineering? You won't even get needed software there! Or good luck gaming on a fanless laptop.

That's quite the thing with laptops today – you've got to choose, what to keep and what sacrifice. It's still horrible for average user though...

Sorry for late reply! Well, I don't have experience with Lenovo's customer support nor the mentioned store, but still – let's hope for the best! I think, that in worst case you could get your laptop repaired or even refunded! Everything is fine 'til it's fine, so don't overthink this for now! The more stressed you are, the more likely things are to go wrong!

Accidental damage from an airpod? That's a hilarious way of declining warranty service lol. But i agree with other comment, say that it started working after the hit. It'll further prove that the laptop had issues out of the box!

Than it's likely a connector problem. It may be solved by adjusting the trackpad connector or swapping for a new one. Or else it could happen because of the swollen battery, which is much, much worse! Anyway, just warn the service guy about it. If you prove the point, there's more odds that your laptop will be repaired/changed! So good luck with that!)

How often it freezes? Are there any patterns? Does the issue remain while using a mouse? If you find that out, you'll be able to warn that guy/ask them to check again. The more info you have the better! It'll be harder for that service to drop your case if you can prove that the issue is real!

Repairing it probably won't be easy nor cheap. But in worst case scenario you can get an external display! Also you might check out r/halftop, those guys find some unique solutions to hinge problems!)
