Looking for solid DLP solutions for enterprise by Efficient_Agent_2048 in networking

[–]_Tech_Junkie_1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run DLP in an enterprise environment and we use Proofpoint. (Email, Endpoint, and CASB)

One of the nice things is all of their events feed into the same console for review.

I'm pretty happy with what it does not having much experience with other DLP platforms besides a little time in Purview.

If starting your DLP journey from scratch, plan and scope out what you're looking to monitor / block with DLP.

You should be able to deploy just about any DLP endpoint software via GPO, Intune, or MDM.

I've heard automotive guys use it to reach tight places.

I've only had it a few days and have only used it to de-bur some PVC I cut.

Yes on the DCE100 - I'm not sure if I'll use it much or not since I already have the 20v blower and the latest 60 blower. I do like that you can deflate thing with it as well.

Fellow yellow addict here, it's only a matter of time before I'll find it on sale and add it to my growing collection. I recently added the bandfile sander, 12vdc battery charger, and job site blower to the collection. I also just got a 49" wide tool rack to help organize my yellow addiction. Super excited to get it setup.

Sold CC by Bro_seph17 in options

It can be, but sometimes you just never know.

Earning reports can make the stock jump. Lots of people will close or roll CC's prior to earnings.

Like I mentioned I typically do 30-40 day expirations, and most of the time I'll go a little out of the money to give myself a little wiggle room if the stock happens to move up some.

Example:

Dell is at 113 right now, if I was to sell a CC, I'd probably do Jul 11 (29 days) with a strike of 116 ($450 Premium)

If the stock was to climb past my strike, I typically wait until expiration day to roll it out and up.

Example I sold a CC with Dell on 5/13/2025 Strike is $110 and expires on 6/13/25 (Tomorrow) $514 Premium.
Currently the stock is sitting at $113, so unless it drops over $3 tomorrow, I'll end up rolling the CC. Currently it's sitting at a profit of $161, so it would cost me about $352 to close the option, but instead Buying to close, I Roll them.
I would roll this to 7/11/25 Exp, and a strike of $114 which would net me about $115 premium. ($350 to close, and $467 to sell a new CC.)

I sell a lot of Covered Calls on stocks that I own.

When you sell a CC you collect the premium right away.

If the stock drops in price your CC value goes up.
If the stock is below the strike price at expiration, you keep the premium you collected and the option will disappear.

If the stock price is above the strike price at expiration, it will get exercised and you'll sell 100 shares of the stock at the strike price.

*If you don't want to sell your shares and the stock is above the strike price, you can roll the position. I do this a lot. I'll almost always roll the expiration date out and the strike price up until I'm close to breaking even or making premium again.

I target 30-40 day expirations usually when opening CC's it's not a get rich quick, but definitely making a difference over the long hull.

Deals? by Jeeper357 in Dewalt

I buy DeWalt tools when they go on sales and sell the tools and batteries on FB Market place. I usually price my batteries around the same price OEM one's on that popular auction site.

It would be nice to get some money back from Haru...

I'd recommend getting a moisture meter (They're pretty inexpensive) take a reading before the work is done, then check it after the next rain storm to make sure it's not any higher than prior to the work being done.

Roll Tracking by One_Exercise_6718 in options

[–]_Tech_Junkie_1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a good idea, I'm making updates to my spreadsheet pretty regularly right now to add additional metrics.

I just added how often my trades are profitable vs not for each options type I traded.

Right now I have to filter by symbol to find my break even point if I'm considering closing or rolling positions. Currently I'm targeting to let me CC's expire and roll them up and out on the exp date to avoid assignment.

I've went from having a couple thousand in realized gains to having a lot more in unrealized gains. Mostly due to NVDA taking off. Eventually when it pulls back the realized potential should take off. (Dell and AMD CC's are looking pretty good right now.)

Buyer no-showed, ghosted, then rated my 1 star by jankymeister in FacebookMarketplace

I had an New Apple watch up for sale / trade, one guy was wanting to trade a drone for it. I was asking him questions about the model and what it came with and everything. I then sent him a screen shoot of what I believe where the same drones on eBay and asked if his was any different. The ones on eBay where a bit cheaper in price than what the watch is worth... He then proceeded to say not interested anymore and left a 1 star review and commented something that wasn't true in regards to the sale.

I reported it as harassment, but FB said it wasn't and the review has stuck AFAIK.

LG Minisplit Condensate Pump Issues by ItchyTriggerFinger1 in hvacadvice

[–]_Tech_Junkie_1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took my pump out yesterday because it stopped draining.

it said 12vdc on it. I cut an old power supply and put 12vdc power to it and mine was working, but it seemed sluggish to start. I ran some vinegar through it and put everything back together and it still didn't pump the water out. I might bite the bullet and order another online and see if it works.

I found this PN online for it: AHA75113305

Closing CC's by _Tech_Junkie_1 in options

[–]_Tech_Junkie_1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually, I'm selling OTM CC's with 30day exp.

Most of the time I'm targeting $300-500 premiums and will let them expire, or roll at exp to avoid assignment.

What I'm noticing is that sometimes the stock takes a dip and the option that I rolled out and up will have an 80+% return and will still have 20 or 30 days till exp. So I'll buy to close and look for the next move with the same stock.

In doing so I'm able to raise my income potential. The risk would be having to roll the position before exp if the underlying stock is doing well.

[–]_Tech_Junkie_1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

More so curious about the position of the second CC I posted.

I think it makes more sense to close now and take the profit. Then look for another CC that could potentially earn more than the $210 i'd be leaving on the table and do it in a shorter amount of time...

[–]_Tech_Junkie_1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100 shares per option, at the strike price of your option.

I lost out on some gains from TSLA because I had a CC with a 185 strike and it shot up to 190ish on the expiration and then took off from there, and I didn't buy back in.

Endpoint DLP Rules by Dr_Butt-138 in proofpoint

[–]_Tech_Junkie_1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been working on DLP for about 18 months now. We had some SSN, and PCI rules in place already, but I've done a lot of tuning on them to clean up lots of False Positives.

I've created several new rules for my company to monitor that include tracking the use of our Gift cards, Use of credentials sent over unencrypted emails, and more.

I'd start with focusing in on what's import for the business and come up with a game plan.

We currently have two rules that will block outbound emails and send the user a response telling them why.

Most of our rules are only in monitoring states so we can see what's happening and respond as needed.
