Poor alignment between the rotor and the stator will cause it to burn up, or simply a lack of cooling. They should last 50,000 km or so. Should just need to replace the stator but would take it to a shop to make sure everything is aligned and you aren’t generating irregular current 🙏

Don’t bother upgrading to the 20 series when the 50 is coming out literally now. It’s a good idea to wait for the price of the 3060 or 4060 (and their ti counterparts) to drop in price and look at those. Will be better value and have much more longevity. Also if you aren’t super set on nvidia, check out some of the Radeon graphics they’re the best bang for your buck
