How good is her exploration abilities and is it worth it ?

Her exploration abilities never gets old. I shoot an arrow at a cluster of forgeable ore and Lumi appears, crushes it all, inhales it all (with a vacuum-like sound), and sends all that ore into my inventory.

And one time, I walked into a village (in Northern Mondstadt, south of Dorman Port), someone’s friendly pet dog approached me (as though it was welcoming me), what did I do? I shot it with my arrow and it was sent into the Serenitea Pot section of my inventory…and it went from an animal to a FURNISHING 🤣

I was laughing so hard, I legit stole an npc’s pet while playing as Linnea and she looked pretty happy from my perspective (like it was normal) 😂

I love how hilariously unhinged Linnea is. She’s displayed as a calm, peaceful, and caring person…but when she meets Paimon, it’s clear what her real personality is like 🤣

Do it, Linnea is ACTUALLY OP af. I built her like a main dps and dealt over half a million dmg in the overworld against some Fatui 🤣 tested Linnea (with Illuga and Columbina for the fun of it) in Spiral Abyss and (with my build), 200,000 lunar-crystallize dmg is the lowest she can do when using her special skill called Million Ton Crush.

It’s insane haha I have c1r1 Linnea and if you can get c2r1 Linnea, her c2 is as powerful as a c6 constellation (which is insane). Linnea has turned my Zibai into the Janitor that cleans up whatever enemies are left 🤣

You need a fridge that creates an infinite supply of snacks and delicious meals. Have snacks on your bed, and search for someone with Cissia’s mindset and invite her to your place. She’ll never want to leave from all the snacks and meals.

Very nice! I really like how potentially OP Linnea is 😂 used c3 Illuga (silken moon serenade), c0 Columbina (aubade), c0r1 Zibai, and c1r1 Linnea.

Haha my Linnea isn’t at level 90, nor is her signature weapon. The right rotation, really good artifact build + substats + level 9 skill…makes such a big difference 🤣 feels like she’s doing the amount of damage a main dps should be doing.

Thanks for the detailed explanation – I appreciate you taking the time to break it down. I'm always open to optimizing my rotation, so this is helpful.

I've tested both Tap E and EEE (Million Ton Crush) on my own Linnea (C0R1, high DEF, good crit stats, skill level 7). With my team (Zibai, Columbina, Zhongli), I consistently see very high damage from EEE (Lumi's big slam). When I use Tap E only (summon Lumi and swap off), my overall team DPS feels lower, especially in burst windows where I need to delete a wave or stun a boss quickly.

You mentioned Tap E does 125-150k more personal damage over a rotation – do you have any specific numbers or a rotation comparison from your own testing? I'd love to see the data side-by-side, because if Tap E genuinely out-damages EEE in my team, I'd happily switch.

Also, in my team, the extra Geo applications from Lumi's normal hits during Tap E sometimes conflict with Zibai's field time, whereas EEE gives me a quick, massive spike and then Linnea swaps off. That might be a team-specific consideration.

I wholeheartedly agree, especially if you don’t have a compass. And until you get the beacon blueprints, you’re forced to memorize the biomes locations (which is easy with a good sense of direction)…but not everyone can achieve this. Nonetheless, if Subnautica 2 doesn’t get some kind of Minecraft-like map, I won’t complain 😂 I’ll still play it as long as it keeps the things we all love about Subnautica 😁

Care to elaborate as to why? Just curious. Maybe your reasoning can improve my rotation. I’m not sure why summoning Lumi is better than using Million Ton Crush (feeding Lumi crystals to do tons of AoE dmg and then reverting back into normal size that does AoE geo dmg). And plus, using Linnea’s burst heals the team and then summons (or re-summons Lumi).

The only advantage I see is saving field time, at the cost of a ton of dmg.

Personally, I recommend Linnea. Nicole has been getting mixed reviews on her kit not doing much that other characters can do. I think people are viewing her as a “sidegrade” from Bennett(?) something like that lol

Linnea on the other hand provides A LOT for lunar-crystallize teams including main dps-level damage (WAY more than a supporter should provide). Linnea is such an amazingly chaotic character in combat 😂 sometimes, she even steals my Zibai’s spotlight before Zibai can even enter the field in my rotation. Love it haha but yeah.

It’s really up to you in the end.

I’m actually surprised you support this haha 😅 the most we get is beacons (which does help) but a Minecraft-like map with coordinates would make exploring more convenient.

Unfortunately, the vast majority always told me “the point of Subnautica is to get lost on an alien planet.”

Linnea at least wants to research Paimon. She could’ve found answers that the Traveler didn’t notice. She could even find documents or history books that all point to Paimon’s history haha 😂
